Fell in love with this band the moment I picked up their cd at a Christian bookstore in AZ. Turned it over and saw the picture of the guys and thought this is gonna be epic. It was. Even have a big old DH tattoo on my arm. Saw them live at Cornerstone and saw Living Sacrifice the same weekend at Cornerstone. Doesn’t get much betta than that!
I was a Christian back when DH came out, bought their first album and every consecutive even after leaving “the faith” More of an Agnostic now but haven’t stopped being a fan 🤘🏼🤘🏼
The Triptych blew my mind when I first picked it up at LifeWay Christian store! Hands down the best Christian metal band in history. And they keep getting better! Loved this!!
Demon Hunter has always been an amazing band. When I heard summer of darkness around 2004 when I was in middle school I was completely blown away. Super heavy and very musical at the same time. They follow up a song like beheaded with heart string come undone.. 🤯🤯🤯 Its great stuff

awesome interview and i did order demon Hunter's exile cd through barnes & noble, just waiting for it to get here that's all. as soon as it gets here I'm going to blast it, well of course I got to wear my headphones. I don't want my neighbors to complain about the loud music. even though I live in apartment complex building, I still got to have respect for them.
Long time fan of DH since day1! Got to see them live in Halifax opening for In Flames about 10 years ago wow incredible show! Met Ryan after the show had a great convo.. love this band! ♥️
Man, I have loved DH's music ever since I picked up Tryptych off the shelf at a Hastings store, but this has given me so much love for Ryan! Awesome, stand-up, grounded guy. I've gotten lazy about buying actual albums since streamers blew up, but I am definitely buying the new disc.
Ryan is a legend and demon Hunter is the all time best metal band!!! It’s unfortunate I haven’t seen them live ‘yet’. But I absolutely support this band and the tattoo on my arm of true defiance says it all!!!

Ryan makes me really want to check out Everygrey now. Not too familiar with them. I'm a fan of Soulfly and Judas Priest though as far as who else appears on Exile. Really cool interview. Always appreciate Ryan's takes on things. I'd like to interview Ryan one of these days.
Since giving my life to God a month ago I've been in the Christian Metal rabbit hole but Demon Hunter are getting the most playtime & Exile is my favourite album as a whole. Keen as mustard for the new album to be unleashed ☝️

I heard of Demon Hunter from listening and playing Killing Floor 2. After that I loved every minute of them. And I always will love it. God bless them.
Heard the Self-titled on Music Choice when I was like 13 and asked my aunt for the cd for Christmas. Got it, along with Zao's Parade of Chaos and Living Sacrifice's The Hammering Process. I'd sit in my basement room and scream along till late into the morning sometimes. Still my favorite album
I made an acoustic over a decade ago inspired by them. Gave it to a friend who went to a concert and got it signed. Shortly after they put out guitars with their artwork. You're welcome.
Wide guard rails, you bet, and that freedom shows in that every song feels like at least someone in the band cared about it. Been a fan since I first heard them on debut. Good interview, but not too revealing since... they kinda exude all of what he said, rofl
Dudes in the Christian metal scene need to talk a little more unashamedly of Jesus, the author and source of our faith and the only true hope for fallen and ruined sinners.
It's disappointing that he thinks the solution to "People being flawed" is more religion. That the world is against you doesn't mean you are standing with the truth.
