Joe Frantz here- you hit it out of the ballpark with this video. Thank you. I’ve looked for you on Twitter and Instagram to thank you, but couldn’t find you (sorry I’m a generation-x boomer lol) . You’re the man. If u ever need anything, hit me up.
Thanks so much man! And no worries, I just set up my instagram account for this youtube channel. Here's the link for you and anyone else interested: instagram.com/media_pastimes/
Hey just wanted to let you know I discovered your channel last night and I watched every single video you had and liked them all. I’m subscribed. Great content
Seeing all of these gritty dramas get big overtime man I would have loved to see Ryan Dunn in some of these shows like Ozark or Breaking Bad…I think he would have been an awesome comedy and drama actor thank you for posting this.
Hey man I just found your channel last week and have been loving the lookbacks you've been doing on the Jackass crew and their projects. Great work man.
I remember somehow getting a copy of Minghags back in 2012 and watching it with my friends constantly, usually while high. I always wanted to see Haggard but I couldn't find it anywhere, so to see it's gonna get distributed online again is great, along with all the other CKY material, most of which I haven't seen. Great vid, man. I've watched all your stuff so far and it's awesome.
Frantz actually mentioned during the same livestream I mentioned in the video, that bam was high for most of that movie (Bam admitted it on the commentary track for Minghags, I haven't listened to that in years though). Makes a lot of sense. But thank you, I'm aiming for at least one video every two weeks.
@@MediaPastimes I believe it. It probably wasn't the first time Bam was on something during the production of a show. I gotta check out that commentary track plus I can't wait if CKY5 does become a thing. Keep it up man! You will get that play button in no time
Ngl when Ryan Dunn passed away, I kinda grew and moved on from the whole cky/jackass films and spin-offs. After his passing it was clear that he was the main star and driving force behind cky and jackass compared to bam. You can tell that his death left a major void in the group and would never ever be the same, and essentially the “End of an Era”. Rip Random Hero
If you like skate movies you’ll like Street Dreams, the video’s critiques are valid and justified, but they don’t matter for movies like these, you don’t watch for the story but for the skating and the skaters, furthermore if you’re a fan of p-rod, Dyrdek or sheckler then you’ll like it If you want a skate movie by skaters with good acting, then Mid-90’s is your choice If you want a great skate movie with great acting but only cameos by skaters, then Lords of Dogtown is your choice If you want the ol gritty type skate movies we used to get by brands? Illegal Civ has a ton of good ones and if you seen Mid-90’s you’ll recognize a lot of the skaters. Also if you’re a fan of OFWGKTA, Odd Future, or even just Tyler then you’ll also like it. I would also check out, Made in Venice, motivation 1&2, Dogtown and Z boys if you just want some skateboarding history as well as legendary skaters
Nice video! It would be interesting to do a similar one with Dico, though not just related to acting. A couple of things of his that I can think of include his voice acting and intro raps on Trials Evolution and his cameo on the Madden 2012 song by Mega64.
I've talked about his Madden rap in one of my Jackass side projects videos (there are four episodes, I think it was mentioned in number 2?) I have a few ideas for Jackass/Viva La Bam stuff going forward, but it's not really the focus of the channel anymore. RU-vid has it out for content in that category, everything I post thats related to either topic always gets age restricted for the dumbest reason possible.
They always complained about Haggard because it had alot of hollywood touches to it and when they made Minghags they just did whatever they wanted. While I did enjoy Minghags, Haggard DESTROYS that movie in every way. Minghags was seemingly made for CKY fans, where Haggard was something I could show to people outside of the Cky bubble that would love it
Dunn would have made a good side character on It's Always Sunny. His obsession with Danny DeVito, plus he was friends with the cast. That would have been great.
I'd probably still be watching IASIP if Dunn had a role on there, he would have been amazing. Nothing against the newer seasons, just not my thing anymore.
Haggard was during the good ole CKY craze days. Man those CKY dvds were the best. My dad and I watched them all together as a kid. As well as going to see all the Jackass movies. My dad and I loved those fuckin movies
Loving your videos, I'm a huge Ryan Dunn fan as he was always my favourite back when I would watch my brother's Viva La Bam dvd boxset and ofcourse Jackass. Just wondering, do you ever plan on making a video about your experience from when you heard of his passing? or like the impact on Jackass and that culture?
Thank you! And yes on both of those suggestions, most likely within the next two months (since the 10th anniversary of his passing is coming up in June).
@@MediaPastimes yeah, i know i love Steve-o and his channel, and i watched it, but i feel like he kind breezed through it, while you would be a lot more detailed and comprehensive, but yeah, I've just seen alot of people on reddit, with huge jackass dvd collections, and some rare stuff that i, as an australian who never had MTV or anything growing up, never heard of, your vids on the jackass spin offs and ryan dunns acting career was exactly what i was looking for, thank you! any more would be awesome, but you've done great work!
ah shit I was gonna cover this subject for my Child of the Jackass Generation series. but I'll have to double think it and only do it if i can say something you didn't. sick video tho
A lot of websites list the official release date as either December 15th, 2008 - or January 1st, 2009. I remember hearing that it was accidently leaked out to file sharing sites in December, so they probably started mailing out DVD copies to anyone who pre-ordered in January 2009.
I dont know if you could find it but the list for the scavenger hunt of season 1 viva la bam I would LOVE to see the entire list of options they could do but didnt for that episode
I can't tell if you're saying the video was clutch, or if you're saying that I forgot to mention the music video for "The Mob Goes Wild" by the band Clutch, lmao. Either way, that music video is going to be featured in my next Jackass side projects and cameos episode.
I'm definitely making a video about Steve-O (specifically where he was and how far he's come), but nothing about Bam. That would feel a bit too tabloid news-like to me, honestly.
Dig a hole, burn some wood. I lived near West Chester for a few years, always wanted to visit the Wawa that they threw bottles behind but it was closed a few years after Haggard was filmed.
He's a family man now, working a full time job and living out of the spotlight. He pops up in projects online every once in a while, but nothing at all related to CKY or Jackass.
The $20,000 goal was more-so for CKY 5, if I understood him correctly. With the amount that the indiegogo has raised by this point, haggard and minghags should easily get a blu-ray release.
