If you told me this was country music I probably wouldn't have believed you. Kept thinking a little bit of Kid Rock rock and roll vibes. This song is so good!
I absolutely love this song. It brings back great memories of growing up in Ludington and the shores of Lake Michigan. This song feels like a Nickelback, Greenday vibe. You are one of the few who can perform in mmultiple genres. ❤❤
Ann Arbor Michigan checking in. Ryan reps our homestate well! Great song! Just heard yesterday for the first time and it immediately went in my playlist
About time someone made a song about the Midwest. There is lots of songs about the South but I've never heard one about the Midwest. I'm from Central IL which does not get no where as much snow or cold weather as Michigan. The ice around here is usually no more than 6 inches thick in the winter and in Michigan the ice is thick enough to drive cars onto.
Absolutely love this song! Doesn’t hurt that he’s gorgeous and sexy too. ☺️ He’s very underrated but hopefully that changes soon and his career takes off.
I think the only reason any of us like this song is because it resonates to all midwesterners. Like.. if I had someone from the city listen to this they would probably hate it but not us. No, we grew up listening to country. (If you didn’t know there is genres of country. This song is an example of Rock Country. There’s also Pop country and Old Country, New country and what I like to call 2010s country.)
Looks like Michigan in the video. I grew up in Grand Rapids and Chicago so this song and the video resonate with me a little. Ryan Hurd seems like a cool and talented guy who choose the wrong person to marry. Happens to so many good dudes, really blows up their life.
