There's been way too much noise about how Ryan Reynolds wasn't allowed the same creative freedom. I'm definitely going to wait to see if that's the case. It's far more likely that Disney is going to screw this up and it's just going to be another cluster fluff. It seems like they become allergic to money.

Ryan Reynolds was the perfect cast for Deadpool; not only can he deliver the dialogue and visuals of Deadpool but his voices sounds exactly like Deadpool’s should.

I think people will go watch Deadpool just because Ryan is in it.

Watched Deadpool 2 on a plane the other day. Even when Disney was killin it back then, Deadpool still stood out as being way smarter and less corporate, more faithful to the characters than the other MCU.

What made Deadpool so good previously under fox was it wasn't afraid to use comedic violence and vulgarity which was part of Deadpool's and Ryan Reynold's charm. I reckon Disney would want to do away with that (or tone it down) and push their woke agenda which in itself has sadly single handedly killed the MCU, Star Wars and all their major franchises.

I just feel bad for Ryan Reynolds and his love of Deadpool. Deadpool is like his child, and Disney just took his child and used it as a safety net. I feel like this movie would cost more than $200 million and would struggle to reach $700 million. It's not gonna flop but it's not gonna be a smash hit either.

I really don’t see any chance disney’ll ever change, at this point. Usually they get the message after at least 3 failed attempts, but disney failed with their own movies, with star wars, with marvel, and even their own on-demand streaming channel, to boot. They’re like the kid that doesn’t learn to stop burning their finger in the lit candle, if he’s not gonna stop burning himself, he’ll probably never learn.

Tying Deadpool into any continuity is a mistake. Deadpool works best as comic relief. The character is literally an immortal, fourth wall breaking vulgar asshole. He is a parody of the genre by his very nature.

There's another bit to ask Disney: If "Superhero fatigue" is really the problem (which it isnt), then why make more superhero films if you truly believe that is the reason your movies are flopping? Even their excuse for why their movies flop is contradicting their actions.

4:30 Current MCU is such a mess that I could see people seeing Deadpool 3 *because* it may not be as MCU affecting GotG3 was pretty much a self contained year and it was the most successful MCU film this year. Deadpool 3 could follow the same pattern

What are you even talking about? Ryan Reynolds himself leaked test footage for the first movie in order to prove there was interest in seeing it. The only thing we've seen of Deadpool 3 is Wolverine wearing the comic accurate costume not the entire plot. The other MCU movies recently failing has NOTHING to do with Deadpool. Deadpool wasn't even a part of the MCU till Disney bought out Fox and honestly I'm expecting it to be the highest performing movie since End Game because the way the MCU is handling the multiverse is complete shit and Deadpool is the only character who actually makes sense being able to break the 4th wall. Look at Spider-man, Toby Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland should not be all playing Spider-man in the same movie together because having 3 obviously different people who are suppose to all be the same person only makes sense by breaking the 4th wall and acknowledging the actors rather than the character they're suppose to be playing. No one in universe should be able to tell they're 3 different dudes except for Deadpool. I mean She-Hulk can break the 4th wall too but her show sucked for entirely different reasons. Honestly I've been saying since End Game that Deadpool 3 is the only Marvel movie I'm actually looking forward to anymore because that movie was terrible and has negatively effected every movie that follows it. Marvel can't even follow it's own canon anymore because in End Game they introduced Time Travel, set up the rules for how Time Travel was suppose to work in this universe and then immediately ignored their own rules 5 seconds later in the same scene. And they repeat this twice in the same movie, the first time with Hulk explaining it to Ant-Man and then the second time with the Ancient One explaining it to Hulk. In both scenes they establish one set of rules and then immediately contradict themselves with an entirely different set of rules. And things haven't gotten better, literally every time it's brought up they keep doubling down on these contradictions. Some how Loki is the most watched Disney+ series and the problem is the worst in that series because the entire concept of the TVA is a contradiction. Their job is to collect variants to protect the sacred time line and stop the multiverse from existing except if there's no multiverse then there's no variants to collect, if there are variants then there must already be a multiverse and no sacred time line to protect. So either there are no variants and the TVA never needed to exist or there was always a multiverse and the TVA never needed to exist. Again, Deadpool 3 is the only Marvel movie I'm actually looking forward to. Literally nothing could ruin it. We had time travel in Deadpool 2 but unlike End Game they didn't introduce stupid contradictory rules to how Time Travel is suppose to work, it's actually 1 consistent rule and it's a little bit silly because of the 4th wall breaks so you don't even need to think too hard about it. Unlike in the MCU where it's two entirely separate rules that immediately contradict each other and they just keep flip flopping based on whatever is convenient for the lazy writers at the time. Honestly I hope Deadpool makes fun of it.

You are optimistic, Jesse. Part of Ryan Reynolds grief is that Disney want to Disney-fi this property, like any other they have gleaned control of. And that means buggering things up. Knowing that they wanted to reduce Reynolds input and control, and splice elements into it that serve their broader purposes, I cannot believe this will be a success. I do suspect it will be better than The Marvels. But that is a very low bar. My best guess is a 'middling' story that ranks mid-tier among all Marvel films. However, with the Disney brand turned to poison, I'm not sure it will have legs enough to reach epic heights of return. And as per the narrative, Disney will blame super hero fatigue. They will not accept responsibility. This will be just one more link in a rusted chain...

So, let me get this straight. No pun intended. Marvel overinflated their production-line with 2 major threat running: Kang, and the Krull. Now they delete one, possibly both, but introduce 2 more major threats: Dr Doom and Mr Sinister. Are they out of their mind? At this point giving ME the CEO status would help more.

I really love Deadpool, it’s the only comic series I read as a kid, but I have basically 0 faith that this movie will be any good under Disney. Almost everything they make ranges from comically mediocre to down right terrible.

I am not excited for Ryan Reynolds in the MCU, couldn't give a shit. I haven't watched anything from the MCU since WandaVision. Not because I don't love Marvel, but because I don't love what Disney has done to it. I'm stoked for DP3, because I'm excited for Deadpool. I'm excited for Wolverine. I can't wait to see them done together correctly. I don't care about spoilers. I'm gonna see it anyway. I know Reynolds cares about these characters and that make a difference. Though, this is the last Disney Marvel project I will see, if Disney does not change their ways. I really, really want this movie to kill. Maybe then they will see the error of their ways.
