Really bitter pill to swallow that he had to retire, but knowing that there was a chance he could've been unable to even walk again, at least Shazier can live the rest of his life. Godspeed, Ryan, you gave Steeler Nation some great highlights.

It's a shame he got injured in that MNF game, but I'm glad he's able to live out his life to the fullest. Seeing him dance at his wedding was pretty cool....even coming from a Ravens fan 😭

One of the biggest “could’ve been” in the NFL. I never seen any Linebacker play with such speed & elusiveness. If he never got hurt he easily would’ve made a strong case for the HOF. I’m just glad he’s much better now & still involved with the organization. Pittsburgh won’t ever be able to replace a player like Ryan.

Micah Parsons gave me a lot of Shazier vibes. Shazier wasn’t asked to rush as much, but that had a lot to do w/ Pitt having a vicious pass rush already. Their games seem pretty comparable if ya ask me. Definitely their size and speed packages. They look to be built pretty similar and I wonder who the faster of the 2 would be. Both 4.3 guys at a position where that kinda speed is damn near unheard of.

Ryan Shazier had that critical forced fumble in the 2015 playoff game against the Bengals. He was a game changer. If he doesn't get injured in 2017 against the Bengals, the Steelers probably get their 7th Lombardi trophy that year.
