About this thing, being disappointed when there is a helicopter instead of an airplane. I experienced the opposite once. We have the only norwegian DC3 stationed nearby, you can very easily hear when it is flying. I once heard it, I thought for a while. Then I hear it's only one engine, so I got super curious. A fucking random Spitfire comes outta nowhere and makes a low pass. Hadn't seen one for 10 years

I can’t sleep on a plane either, except for once where I had two seats and the seat for the FA for takeoff and landing. After that I was allowed to used it and I could make a bed with 3 seats (yes thank Heaven the armrests could go up which is not on all planes. (Yes former ArkeFly -now TuiFly- I’m Looking at you ffs. Give a passenger two seats for just 50bucks more than a single seat and you can’t put the armrest in between up 🤦‍♀️)) It’s the only time I actually slept. The flight was relatively empty, people could just swap seats wherever after take off. A year later I had two seats 💺 on the two-seat rows on the plane but no sleep. I just have to lie down I guess unless I’m completely knocked out. (AI fell asleep on the train on my way to Paris) and once from Miami to Amsterdam but my neck was stiff for a few days with a huge headache along with it. Guess that taught me my lesson never to sleep sitting up unless you can rest you head well enough and not rely on gravity for a head tilted to the right and slobber coming down your mouth 🤤

I also don’t sleep when it’s a 10 hour or longer flight I go to sleep when we land and for some reason I always sleep on shorter flights even on Ryan air and when Ryan air landed I didn’t even wake up I only woke up when we were in the terminal
