Rye house | RHPK Round 3 2022 (Race highlights) 160cc pro-karts (couldn’t of gone any worse) 

I don’t think we’ve ever had so many issues in 1 race luckily we did bring it to the end to get what points we could

I had similar luck in my races in 206 Jr 1 yesterday. In the prefinal we were DQed for having the wrong slide in our motor. So in the final we had to start dead last. I made it from 11th to 5th despite being on the wrong gear only to find out we forgot our transponder.

On a serious note, lucky it didn’t come off at the stadium..

We had 2 wheels fall of in that corner the rear wheel flew off with my teammate driving 😂

Yeah with the front wheels coming off stadium is the last place you want it coming off

Thank you we’ve done alot of work this year to try avoid these issues so hopefully we can have a more reliable season

It was the bearing that failed the wheel was still attached to the hub we believe contact early in the race caused the issue

It’s very good now the tracks smoother before it was very uncomfortable to drive

😂 it’s because I was lapping him I let the people lapping me go hell have someone out there he’s fighting. Hopefully 🤭

2x 160cc Honda engines so technically 320cc

They run about 7.5hp per engine

No we had a big crash at the beginning of the race and it held on till this point the problem with endurance racing is stopping to check everything would lose us too much time

@@AlessiaPrime thought you guys changed that left front hub 1/2 way through the video? .. when you also changed the LF tire/wheel?? In my 50 years of karting.. nver once saw front wheel bearings fail like that, lol. A bad day for sure.

That’s probably the worst race we’ve ever had hopefully we never have anything like that again 🤞

Yeah it’s quite important the races are 4 hours long knowing when to pit or when to fight someone as they might not be on the same lap as you

The series have weight minimums to bring racing closest together and more fair so you should be alright definitely look into it though there’s teams out there that will always need drivers and a lot of teams that rent out karts

@@AlessiaPrime Eh... not in Germany. There are just a few Drivers over my Weight class (100kg +) and mostly when I participated in a race on normal conditions with normal weighted people i was like in the last few Places.

It happened because of a crash at the beginning of the race these karts are built to take the curbs there a lot stronger then rotax

Only in some series a lot of the races we do I’m not allowed one on my head which makes everything a pain

😂 its a ProKart its slightly slower then a rotox But is used for endurance races usually 4 hours long but also used in 24 hour races whereas rotax is more sprint races

😂 we have actually improved our team a lot since this race our reliability has gotten better hopefully it stays that way

I usually get quite annoyed when stuff like this happens I don’t really hide my emotions 😬 but it’s because of how many hours we put in every week to reduce the change of these things happening but when they happen it sticks especially when it happens multiple times in one race
