There's other companies selling a version of this type of electric bike, I was watching a skateboard channel and they had one, not quite as fancy as the one in this video, but definitely along the same concept.

Since i have aged and had some changes after i reached 40 in my health i needed to sort out Transport as i use to ride a 10 Kilo racer as i had DVT then got Emphysema and struggled with breathing and the light bike was easier to ride, so i stopped smoking and started saving, i have saved over £4.000 in a year and that was just on Tobacco, i saved over £10,000 from stopping smoking cannabis,, and the UK Hospitals do not help or Supply wheelchairs to use or hire and now i am walking again i can't go far without the use of transport ,, so i am waiting for my new Scooter to come, i did not buy a Mobility Scooter as i can not fit or get one in my home so i looked at two wheeled electric scooters which are banned in the UK? but you can buy an electric bike legally?, Welcome to the UK,, the laws are fucked up and hard to Overstand and those who Understand speak Legalize ,, so i can fit my Segway Ninebot Max G30 in my hallway, i can carry it on to the bus when making big journeys, and i can carry it or pull it when i go to see the doctor, i think 2 wheeled electric scooters are perfect for people with disabilities like myself and have little room, it will give me more freedom to get out and explore and if travelling around the UK and going from Youth Hostel to Youth Hostel,, i am also starting a RU-vid Channel as i have a great idea and i can video my journey and keep it going !! so i can do my bit for the planet before i go back home,,, peace in 2020 the year of Balance,,,

No there are no 2 gyros I am afraid. To have a reliable and strong gyro and a same backup one is impossible. Electronic controllers? Yes that’s what comes in pair in most electric unicycles, along with multiple connection and y splitters allowing for separate electrical circuits👍
I remember back in the 1980's when a cartoon series called "Spiral Zone" was produced, and the defenders were called, "Zone Riders", and they rode one-wheeled motorcycles.
I had kids with my "afraid to ever risk again" wife. After we had one failure everything is a no. Imagine if Disney had that. Two kids need me so here I am grinding it out in my depressed state never allowed to take another chance in my life.

I remember seeing these years ago and thinking that it looked pretty cool and that I'd like to buy one. But all this time later you still can't and their web site seems to show that they've given up on the idea of building them and just want to sell the rights. But they've also designed a hydrofoil and mini car which they also can't build and want to sell the rights to. They're competing with plenty of product that you can actually buy and all they've got is a cool idea.
Purely as someone who rides everything like a nutter sort of, I'd like to see one where in an emergency stop it would let the rider go over the wheel but lean them back in the seat in the process so as to slow the momentum gradually and create a nicer feel to it.
If anyone is actually interested here, check out “Electric Unicycles.” Very similar, but smaller, and ya know...actually for sale and affordable. Cheap ones can be had for $300 and do 12mph for 10 miles. Top of the lines wheels can go 60-100 miles on a single charge, topping out between 30-40mph. Total gamechanger for anyone I know who’s bought one (dozens of people) and once again-actually exists and is on sale, unlike the vehicle in this video.
And not to mention 1,000 times more convenient because you can just take the gotway, kingsongs, and ninebots in all buildings with you. And on trains, in cars, and etc.
Also you are not flailing your arms around on an EUC... When you are learning to ride one 'yes' but not when you have Learnt. I dont do this but if i wanted I could use my mobile and make a phone call if I needed.. I could not do that if my arms were flailing!..
Good for you Christopher, you re-invented the wheel and made a cool device. It would be hilarious to see a football game on snow using Ryno's or even a Steam-Punk version.
A lot of real haters commenting, which is easy to do from the anonymity of your desk chair. This is a really cool idea/invention, from someone who clearly has a vision and is willing to go for it to try and make it work. Whether it does and gets into the regular market place is another conversation altogether, but I sure hope so. No one creates anything worthwhile playing it safe or not dreaming.
I was the Quality manager at Production Tool and we built some of your prototype components. I thought it was a great concept and hope to test ride one during that period.
Disappointed that I have no new news of whether any production of these will occur. It is a great idea & cannot believe that the company cannot produce this & make a huge profit. The standup devices & electric skateboards are all the rage now & this seems to be a very good venture . I'm hoping he makes the huge jump into mass production ..........

I seen a video about 15 to 20 Years ago where a guy Had made that same bike his was a little more sleek But he had some kind of contract and was making them for the local police to patrol on in the city or town that they lived in so I definitely don't think you are the very 1st one to invent that or have that idea

Ryno, you need to get the rider seat position fixed. Get over to Counts Customs and have him trick out the fascia plates, put some ape Hanger bars, some forward foot pegs and a high back seat to lean back on. Make sure you also build in some sort of forward wheelie bar that shoots out under power loss to save you from segways plight
I thought about it a second and your anti pitch forward needs to be a smaller set of concealed wheels on either side of drive wheel on pressurized struts that shoot out at about 30 degrees to form a trike config if pitching forward or stopping fast
I love this guy! I love his book "Heart in Gear". I am an engineer who has also built some head turning crazy vehicles. I would love to meet this guy some day:)
How bout an inline three wheel, four passenger car? Wheels would be multidirectional, gimbal, drive. Or maybe two "outrigger" balance weights that would pivot upwards to the centerline of the vehicle as needed to balance like a tightrope walker's pole. They wouldn't necessarily need to be long only heavy enough to effect the weight of the car.

I like the big fat wheel it has. I have used the small wheel electric scooters which were lethal in the wet, sliding out from under you, having no grip on smooth surfaces. Also, feeling every bump in the road. This bike looks real comfortable and safer.
I have dignity and pride and understanding he's going to make something that you can't imagine that's going to be eventually cheaper than you think that's because you're not working on it you have no idea what it takes to perfect something by the time you make anyting guess it's good you got to have three lifetimes more bread and butter in a lot of work and it ain't going to happen because you think somebody's going to do everything for you you get out there you tell him what you want and he'll laugh at you and I laugh with him and you will not understand how stupid you sound

Just saw a Ryno this weekend in the park and was very intrigued. I was riding my Onewheel and we crossed paths around a corner. It was like something out of Blade Runner. All black, the ride was in all black leather and pads. So here I am at 6 in the morning researching and found Ryno. I'm interested in purchasing. Christopher, this is a great background to the Ryno line. I like the inspiration and future of Ryno ideas. Urban valet vehicles. Great idea leave the parking to the AI.
SAFETY regulations for a GOOD Reason. protect Walkers on sidewalks from Motor Vehicles. wheelchairs and Mobility scooters belong in the Sidewalk , but NOT e-Scooters or Unicycles. BIKES can NEVER Legally operate on sidewalks, they have the BIKE lane for e-Scooters and e-Bikes.
Agree eScooters and Unicycles like the RYNO belong in the Bike lane, you don't see Bikers operate Motorcycles on sidewalks, they would be Arrested and Ticketed.
Mark Plott I own multiple Electric Unicycles and get around on them very often, and in one city where I live, they are actually not allowed on the road for whatever reason. In the other place where I live during the summer though these are the best “toys” that allow me to not use a car and still go at car speeds with ridiculous range ;)

I love the design. How does it break? The body momentum will try to push you forward. On a two wheeler, you hold it by your hands and it gets transferred into the front wheel. I’m guessing they rely on the giro to stop you from being thrown forward. It’s ok at mild breaking at slower speeds, but I wouldn’t bet my life on it in an emergency breaking.

Yeah just a FYI there is anime movie called Venus wars and they had this stuff in there but it was fuel powered and they called it a mono bike just so you know that movie was from late 80's
Cool product, there are so many better ways to move around the city than cars. When you look at at all the space and land devoted to parking it really makes you think.

Awesome work brother👌I'm looking to build a single rider self stabilizing fully enclosed cockpit recumbent E-bike but like you once, I have no where to build it. Very simple not overly complicated like LitMotors C-1 it's awesome but over engineered. I subscribed to your channel, you have my support, clean energy transportation is the way to go.
I remember this from when they made a funding pitch in SF. It doesn't seem to have changed much since then and it doesn't really seem like there are any distributors. It looks like they are trying to find people to manufacture and sell them vs. doing it themselves. Given the limited range and speed plus not having any clear definition of it as either a bike or motorized vehicle I think this is still firmly in the novelty section. What happens if you're going along at 10 mph and the gyro fails is also a concern. I personally would not want to see it riding on sidewalks in my city - many States outlaw electric vehicles other than wheelchairs - so that leaves the road. I see the small powered wheels zipping around that you can pick up and carry like a briefcase but I wouldn't want to ride one of those on the street either, I can't imagine how bad it is with crappy American streets full of potholes and such....
