They really need better tips at least good spiral cutter for roots It doesn't cut through much. It will get some hair out but the lack of different sized tips and better tips make me regret buying this...

Are you sure that your drainage problems aren’t due to a collapsed drain pipe or tree roots grown into said pipe? I would’ve had it bore scoped before investing in that thing. Best of luck to ya Al.

No I am not sure, and south St.Paul is notorious for tree roots and old clay pips breaking. But I was able to clear it and it's been good. I have snaked the main, 2 times in since I got it. My house was built in the 60's thanks for watching

Is this a good tool for snaking thru the toilet bowl. I have slow and weak slow flush and I certain that its the some where down further than just the toilet itself...
@Impact-OG
@Impact-OG 2 года назад
This one is to large to fit down a standered toilet, but if you remove it then snake the main line it works great. Thanks for watching

@@Impact-OG Instead of buying this I bought a gallon of CLR. Used a gallon of water for hydrostatic flushing of the bowl to lower the water level then add CLR down the refill tube so that the bowl oraffices that water flows thru that fill up the bowl can get all the lime and calcium deposits desolved. After a few minutes I fill the toilet bowl with extra water to get the water lever inside the trap at even level to get it desolve any caked on minerals as well and let it soak for about 30 minutes. Seems to work...

would this unit be good for in between a real plumber with a large snake machine, to keep the water flowing in a sewer line (6 inch)? the cordless makes it a choice.. thanks for any help.
@Impact-OG

So I really like it, I don't think I will do much for a 6 inch pipe. It will clean out a main house drain just fine, That's what I bought mine for. I am not able to get my main drain clean out cap off with out breaking the old pipe so I got this bad boy, it goes down the far drain and cleans it out all the way to the street. It is to large for standard house hold towels because the head is to big to fit. It works best in a 2 inch to 4 inch pipe and it has plenty of power to get the clogs out. There are other head attachments that you can buy to help clean out the pipe better. I actually just ordered a new head and will do a follow up video on it. Hope this helps out. Do you live in Minnesota ?

It is very important to note the interchangeable head of the snake on this model makes it far too big to clean out a shower or sink drain. I bought one with that purpose in mind and was initially disappointed. HOWEVER, if my main line should ever clog I'm pretty sure my investment in this one will be recouped in one use as plumbers don't even walk through the door here for less than $300. For a simple shower or sink drain, a Ryobi P4001 works incredibly well.

No drive belt. The drum units have no tension adjustment so if the belt comes off its a fight to get back on. This one direct drive.

My dad tired of calling a plumber to unclog the drain every other month, he makes sure his plates are fully clean and grease drained in a container but some reason the drains getting clogged. He does have his own snake but doesnt have long reach and he often has to call a plumber to unclog drain. So thinking getting something like this unless you recommend something else.

How do you manually feed the cable down the pipe when it is spinning?
@Impact-OG
@Impact-OG 2 года назад
So I need to make a part # 2 to this video to explain all the futures. So there is a tightening bolt that you loosen to allow the cable to spin or not spin. Its hard to explain. You manually pull out the snack as you feed it down the drain, then tighten the bold and let her spin like crazy.
@hktmc300
@hktmc300 2 года назад
I bought this machine a few days ago and I'm trying to figure out how to use it. I know how to set it up. I'm just confused about when I push the cable into the pipe manually, is the cable not spinning and I just keep feeding the cable into the pipe until I hit the clog section, and then turn on the machine to spin the cable until the clog is cleared. Then turn off the machine and pull the cable back out of the pipe. Is that how you use it? Can you turn on the machine and have the cable spinning as you manually feed the cable into the pipe? I guess you would need to spin slowly in order to grab the cable and push into the pipe.

What size line? 3/8"?
@rjakiel73
@rjakiel73 3 года назад
Just looked up the specs. Meh... 5/16" line is pretty anemic. The ridgid for $140 more gives you 25’ of additional cable and it’s 3/8" with a 1/2" drum available if needed for 4" lines.
