Spot on review, I found the same issue! And, for smaller folks like myself, it is a bit on the heavy side.

I like woodworking and have several Ryobi tools and they are pretty good. Better than I thought they would be. Anyway, subscribed to your channel to support a fellow Alaskan. (That auger wouldn’t work on my property which seems to be half rock and half soil).

Thanks for the review. I just picked up an EGO, same basic machine. It's too powerful for me, it really rips you around, even with the smallest battery, I thought the anti-kickback would work better. I have very rocky soil (hardpan). I don't recommend getting one of these, my thigh still hurts from being smacked!

Ahh, installing fences. One of those jobs that by the end of the day you'd wish you should have just hired it out, lol.

If you’ve got rocks a power auger is not your friend for post holes. There isn’t a hand auger on the market that would be better in this situation.

$500.00 for this? Wow, at that price, it should turn those rocks into powder. LOL

Skidsteers are not a fair comparison. Any auger will have these issues.
