We have a Ryobi petrol edger; had we started with Ryobi instead of ozito, we'd likely have the other battery devices instead...having said that; the ozito edger & blower are GREAT, and cheaper...just their mower is crap! (as per my review)

Great video demo Steve, I also like Ryobi with the quality usually 'fit for purpose'. The Ryobi seems considerably better than the Ozito you reviewed earlier. With the rear suspension feature, reasonable price, and the classic eye-catching lime Ryobi color, I think it is a winner.

My experience with Ryobi has been the same as Bob and Will. With so many choices at our local Home Depot at all levels of price and quality and knowing batteries are the most expensive part, I had to commit to one or the other. Ryobi appeared to me to strike the right balance between quality and price. Dewalt and/or Milwaukee brands might be better for a pro, but for handy man around the house things, I have been extremely pleased with all my Ryobi products. This was impressive. You may have me rethinking the electric mower. Looked like it did a great job and the WEIGHT or lack thereof is a strong selling point. And half the price of my Honda that wouldn't run smoothly after just one year of use. I know I didn't 'winterize' it properly, I never did with any others I've had. IMO, it shouldn't have been so sensitive. Curiously, I saw recently Honda is getting out of the mower business. Hmm...

I'm VERY impressed with this one; does most of the 1/4 acre block on a single charge (in fact, never run it till flat). Trouble is; all of the other brand names, whether American, German or Japanese, are ALL made in china now. 😟

@@SteveMack Yeah, I've seen the Chinese have the capability to build whatever you want. You want cheap crap, they can do that. You want good quality, they can do that. too. And everything in between. It's the old good, better, best scenario with prices to match. I have a drill I bought for $19.99 that has the exact same battery as the Ozito mower did. With just occasional use, the motor in the drill burned out. That's when I made the commitment to Ryobi with no regrets and not breaking my budget.

Thats a cut above the Ozito...even though its has many features and looks like it would be great for small lawns...I dont think it would be up to doing longer grass and a much much bigger lawns unless you have multiple batteries ..(I suppose there's only 1 way to find out)...anyway Great review & I was impressed by the Ryobi...I was also impressed by you walking barefoot on the lawn...no chance here..Bindies & Cat Eyes run rampant in our area 👍

Well; for that, you'd use a regular mower I guess. For it's required application - It's great! Actyally gives a nicer cut than the petrol mower, and is faster, since you don't have to go over it to mulch in clumps. I'd definitely PASS on the bindis too if we had them down there!! 👌🍻

My Ozito PXC 36V mower is awesome. Our lawns are uneven, bumpy, medium and large. I like that the Ozito handle is adjustable - coz I'm short - and the height lever is way better than that Ryobi. What is the cable for? I bought my Ozito as a stepping stone to bigger and better cordless mowers but after a year, I'm still happy with my Ozito. NZD $399

Sorry but you can not beat a 4 stroke petrol honda mower starts 1st time every time and I have it from new ,25 years ago only blades and a new fiter. See how long that lasts.

I agree, Honda's are great, albeit very expensive! I'd still only use a petrol mower for anything other than mildly in need of mowing lawns...But for THAT purpose; these are very good. 👌👍

Yeah, I get that, but the rest of the battery covers the rest of the grassed area, without needing to be charged. I didn't mention that in the video, but all similar 18v mowers would not do any better, battery-wise.

Ryobi aren't very good. Same as Ozito really, just flashier coloured plastics. You have to go for at least Milwaukee or DeWalt to get anything quality these days.

...If you really ever want your head 'done in', read 'Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance'; it 'argues' pretty validly, that there isn't such a thing really...Very VERY deep, and my head is still partially destroyed almost 20 years later from reading it. 😅💀👌
