Thankyou for the comparison. Finding reviews on the RID18X has been considerably difficult and I am glad I found your video - I feel like the RID18X is the one I want after viewing your video.

Thank you for a wonderful comparison and review. Good details. What is the model number of the hammer drill you introduced at the end? In Australia I believe we use the same model numbers.

But why did they release two hp+ impact drivers? Is both used for the same kind of work? Can both use 1/2" sockets with good results?

The compact one is a bit smaller and less powerful. But it looks nicer and it's £20 cheaper, so each to their own. The larger one is a no brainer for me as it's got gears, which is brilliant, and is rated 300Nm!

You can tell how he hasn't used any of them in real life applications. Nevertheless, it gives a lot better comparison than looking at the spec sheets does.

Sometimes using just a bit is enough. My conclusions are still valid till today ;-)
