In this video I show how to replace the carburetor and get a generator running again that hasn't been running in many years. This was a fun generator repair for me to do.

It looks like the fuel line was connected to the wrong port on the pump by whomever was inside of it before you.

You don't think the choke level was the issue? I have the issue when i move it to the cold start, and you have to have it in the right way to open and start

Drain the carb in the winter or more problems.

I have this same Generator since 2016 had been working great but now it started giving me problems found your videos looking for a solution. Was working fine yesterday but my generator is actually leaking fuel by air filter housing can't figure out why, since hoses and carb looks just fine with no leaks in those areas. Do you have any suggestion on what to look for?

It might be the fuel shut off valve it's pretty common for these to leak from there

Remove the gas tank and check it carefully, I thought it was a bad gas line but no. I have one that has split at the seam on the bottom of the tank, it's really hard to see until you take the tank out. After removing the tank, I filled it about a 1/4 of the way with water and can clearly see where it was leaking. Time for a new tank.

@@99shadows66My tank also split. Can’t really get one easily so I rigged up a direct hose to a gas tank to run it that way. It’s a shame, because it’s a great generator otherwise.

I didn't know they made iridium plugs that small I bet that would work great in the generator. The original plug in this video is still being used in that generator today and it has probably 600 more hours on it or more
