After my recent trip to Tioman Island. The screw no "13" on my reel fell off. I am having hard time to get replacement parts for it locally. Contacted AliExpress seller, the screw will cost 1USD each and 5USD shipping fees. Lucky i managed to find another seller from Shopee Malaysia selling RM13 per screw (include shipping from China) Do note; the downside of buying online China products that lacks aftersales support/replacement parts, you will have hard time finding it when you need it.

Congratulations for the video in demonstrating the positives and negatives. And I agree that they should colcr simpler locking system. I was going to order one from Ali, but on second thought. I have Ryobi brand reels and they are very good.

@@jwanglerz8500 Of course the price is great, I agree with you. I'm just wondering what price range the Ryobi should be in compared to the Daiwa / Shimano

@jwanglerz8500 Год назад
@@hipdmho7046 i can only say no comparison, similar spec from Shimano is Ocea Conquest, but cannot compare the 2 because Ocea Conquest excels in quality and after sales support. The Ocea conquest is really a work of art, fine finishing and refined feel when you used it. The Ryobi cannot match it. When i first received the Ryobi reel i already noticed scratches on the handle and rough machine finishing in some area. And when have problem, there is no dealer or after sales support. But for SGD 150.. cant complain much 😂

I think it would be healthier if the pinion(gearwheel) of the fishing line guide were made of aluminum. Can you compare it to the Ryobi Jigger BT in terms of durability? Which is better?
@jwanglerz8500

Looks the same, brass gear. Aluminum is softer than brass. Not suitable for for pinion gear

No, when he opened the other cover, there were two gears. plastic gears ; those for the fishing line guide. I'm talking about them. I also have two more questions: 1) What is the weight of the rod you use for light jigging? What should be the ideal weight? 2) How much should the total weight of the fishing machine and rod be for light jigging?
@jwanglerz8500
@jwanglerz8500 3 года назад
@@arthurdayne7325 ic. That line guide drive gear is ok to be made of plastic. Wont use much force on it. If they use other materials (it will cost more) For questions 1 and 2. For light jigging we usually refer to Rod PE number and jig weight itself. ( Lig jig weight usually between 20gram-60gram on shallow water and current not that strong) On Rod and Reel weight, i dont have correct answer, as light jigging Rod PE 1-2 is quite light tackle. In general get a rod setup that is comfortable for you personal use
@arthurdayne7325

So let me ask this way: What will be the weight of the rod you will use in this fishing reel? 150 gr , 250 gr ??? (I'm not talking about the weight of the jig)

Agree on entry level reel VS china reel, you get what you pay. But once on mid range category, China reel cannot compete in terms of finishing and refinement. Plus branded name offer warranty and you can use it with peace of mind. China reel is as good as throw away once spoiled, no warranty support

@@jwanglerz8500 Don't be so hard on Chinese made reels as I know you have a biased viewpoint against Chinese made products after watching some of your videos and reviews. The Chinese reels are of great values and offerings for many people around the world that are financially stricken due to suppression and control through capitalism. Wit that said, when you're doing a review, it's best to keep everything neutral, without preference, judgement or biases and allows your viewers to decide for themselves. Don't try to sway others what to buy or don't buy because that's contradiction from your perspective only. From a higher perspective, the Chinese reels are much better value ratio wise than the leading brands such as Shimano, Daiwa, or American made reels. You get more per dollars than those other offerings. Granted, those big brand names may excel in higher quality than the Chinese made ones, but only on the higher end levels at exuberant prices. Not at the lower price point. When comparing dollar per dollar, the Chinese reels wins hands down, and with much more value for your money too. BTW... The term "You Get What You Pay For" is manipulation words for Capitalism Corporations to justify their GREED for more profits. You will understand this once you dig deep within yourself per divine timing. NOTE!!! Don't take this message from a negative perspective, but use this info as reference for future video and reviews. Much Love!

@@Haknumansoksan hi Bro, thanks for your comment. I am not by any means biased with Chinese reel. They do offer cheaper option for fishing stuff. I have used budget brand before, some are Malaysia brand, some are Indonesia brand not just Chinese. Have tried Seahawk, Seaknight, Kenzi, Daido, Lurekiller and other non japanese reel until one day i bought a Shimano Saragosa (not consider expensive reel, just mid range) and i was impressed with quality finishing that i never felt before with other reel.. then with Twinpower XD, OJ F custom and compare the finishing and fitment (quality) not quantity. Is really no other Chinese Reel can compare.. unless they up their game in quality department. Again, i am still using Chinese reel for rough abuse fishing and heck care if its broken. Just that i won't abuse it with expensive reel. One plus point is rod regardless of Chinese brand, so far i am happy with rod e.g madmouse, Seahawk, maguro, Ajiking rod. So far no complain on these rod. Around $50 - $100 sgd can get a satisfying rod of non japanese origin.
@Haknumansoksan
@Haknumansoksan 2 года назад
@@jwanglerz8500 You're still comparing them to more expensive Japanese reels based on the video here and that's also considered a biased perspective. The Chinese reel you show in this video cost about a hundred dollars, whereas Shimano Ocea Jigger is about five hundreds dollars or more. That's major differences in price, which is like comparing Apple and Oranges. If you take a Shimano reel (same style or type) around one hundred dollars to compare with this reel, then it's a fair comparison, but I haven't found one yet from Shimano that can compare to what the Chinese are offering. With that said, be grateful for what it's available to the market in the fishing industry and enjoy without biased or judgment, but accept all there is. Shimano and Daiwa make excellent products, but not everything is good unless you buy the higher price models. Although, Daiwa has came out with excellent reel for around 120's price range with their BG Spinning Reel, which is also made in China and Vietnam I believe. I used to owned many Shimano (Chronarch/Curado) and Daiwa baitcaster reels for bass fishing, and also purchased one Chinese made reel called, Johnny Morris from Bass Pro Shop and that reel was smoother than my Shimano Curado and Daiwa reels hands down. That was a pleasant surprised to say the least. Hope you get the clues here... The Chinese fishing rods and lures, is another great example here for the money. Best value for your bucks against any Japanese or American made rods. All in all, enjoy everything there is and don't try to compare one to another with judgment or biased, but look at it from a price point value for your money. Much Love!

@@Haknumansoksan bro, there is no way a Japanese brand will compete with Chinese brand in this price range of around $160 sgd. You pay this you get china fuji apple, you pay more you get japan fuji apple. Both are fuji apple but taste is totally different. You know what i mean. This reel try to mimic ocea conquest in terms of function. Reason i dont tell people this is as good or as smooth as Shimano is because i don't want to give ppl a false impression that this reel is the same deal as ocea conquest. That is not the point of this video, i need ppl to know what they will expect when buy this reel, the quality n finishing and warranty if any. If i tell ppl that this is as good as Shimano conquest then i will be lying 🤥. Whether to spend $160 for this and expect what you pay or spend more on conquest and expect different level of quality and warranty you get.

You must be a Very Wealthy man, to call $160.00 USD, RYOBI Baitcasting Reel, a BUDGET reel!! Then how much does a medium priced reel cost in CHINA? $400.00 USD?! Your review is ridiculous. Even in the U. S. a reel that costs between $150.00 to $200.00 is Not a Budget reel😂 You can buy a Very Nice Baitcasting, line-counter OKUMA reel (made in Taiwan), for no more than $160 USD. And it's great for Fresh or Marine- water. The Only reels better than High end, RYOBI, and OKUMA, are ABU Garcia (made in SWEDEN) or Shimano Made in JAPAN (not CHINA)!! Chinese Unlawfully take Swedish, American and Japanese Patents, with No Compunction and Copy them. I was field testing, writing articles in English and selling them internationally, not to mention being a professional Pacific Salmon and Steelhead fishing guide. After you succeed in Selling 1 Outdoor or Science article, we'll communicate again!!
