I've really started to love Ryu in this game, everything flows so nicely and his combos are stylish as fuck, giving him the short range hado wave was truly a great decision
I love this kind of combo video. "the answer lies in the heart of battle" - and that's why you need spicy combos. You don't want your answer to be "just bread and butter"
good video with much to be taken w a grain of salt. there are good combos many of which will inevitably burn you out and should be treated as finishing sequences. but covering the comboable OD denjin hashogeki was a good thing and also explaining the microwalk tech for drive meter was new for me. super well edited thank you
This video is lit lit ryu my favorite character I will do some of these combos you show me a better option. This is great pressure in all different angles, keeping the opponent, guessing thank you.

This part here 1:50 you csn actually do it like how you tried, you jest need to delay the Shuryuken just before they drop to the ground and itll connect. Great combos 😎 👍
This combos are awesome but sadly they cost a lot of resources so it's hard to see these combos in competitive matches, capcom should reduce scaling on these so they're worth using in competitive.
All of these combos can definitely be improved upon, you can definitely add a few things to these combos, but for the sake of " flashiness " i kept it simple
They are great combos for casual and ranked but in the top tier tournaments they won’t use them because they are very easily punishable if u Make 1 mistake during the combo plus it uses to much meter so that is my opinion
You gotta be the right distance from the corner so that when your opponant is hit with the charged level 2 ( its gotta be charged or else it wont work ) he will be in a roll state and take more hits
@@tryntrox I think you mean drive rush not drive parry in those combos then. Anyways cool combos, question for you, in this game you cannot combo into level 1 after any special except ex donkey kick right? You cannot combo into level 1 after a dragon punch, fireball, like in sf5 right?
@@brandontyler9278 no you cant saddly. You can only combo into lvl 1 from normals. And no i mean drive parry rush. Which is different from drive rush i think

It doesnt work with denjin hashogeki anymore, but it still works with heavy hashogeki, you can either cr hp on punish counter into heavy hashogeki or heavy hashogeki punish counter
It's beyond me how it is possible to do these combos. I struggle with the easiest combos 😢 It's like these people are playing a completely different game 😅
