Good question. IMO against characters/players whose gameplan is to keep you out at a distance (Guile, JP, Dhalsim) it's sometimes good to recover in place so you have less distance to close. It can also be good in general sometimes even against players who are rushing you down, so you're not pushed as far toward the corner. It can throw peoples' setups off if they're spacing-dependent since they're used to most people back-recovering. I wonder what Machoor thinks.

for example if you play vs a Ryu who always does denjin charge on your knockdown, recover in place will allow you to punish him if he does that. it depends on the situation and the matchup

glad someone said something. since the patch THIS AKI is the worst I've seen. I'm Plat 5 ryu and the match ups I get with AKI she does way more pressure than what was shown here. Its almost as if she gave the fight up. Like she didn't even use poison. She just backed up and spammed MK low or standing. Fishy to me. Im not a loyal fan just a viewer.
