Ho man, I'd say find a better spring and don't sand that parts... Can be ok on a plastic spring guide, but I wouldn't gouge or sand a cnc part. Merchant usually sell spring by the outer diameter, but you need to take into consideration the thickness of the wire. I'd suggest ordering a custom spring of 1mm(or 2mm) larger outer diameter, therefore the thick 1.8 or 2mm wire will not bring your inner diameter "too small".

@@thatoldnerfguy both metal kit and spring were from Monkeemods, so I would have expected them to work together. Most disappointing!

@thatoldnerfguy Yep, I went to a hardware store to get the outer diameter, and it definitely was 16mm. Compared the barrel to the first version I have, and the barrel is significantly thicker than the older barrel. My question now is if some of the other pieces will switch. As a good deal of the internals look the same.

Never mind, the dart gate is different. Has more in common with the fire rat's dart gate except the fire rat's dart gate has no threads for the barrel. Was thinking of getting a metal dart gate for this blaster.

Monkee Mods have restock them 2 times so far... my guess would be they will eventually comeback in stock. Maybe just contact Monkee Mods about it, normally those kit and dart gate get sold out pretty quick... I missed the Silver Slide twice
