A guy, abandoned by his parents after birth,adopted by russian mafia and trained and controlled by them all his life... still when he grew up , he looked for that kid he had as his only friend, track down his dad and made a stationary for him and loved a woman so much that he opened about his past and the brutal scenery of his fate...... yet the female lead and the drama didn't help him , didn't give him a chance, this guy was ready to change for Her. If the female lead with her mother and granny wanted they could probabely take down the mafia (who was the real drug dealer, Ryu Si Oh was a lackey).But despite having that soft and hidden warmth he had inside he just got BETRAYED, all his life.. no love,, no mercy.He even cried after finding out about her true self.. And ofc, the drama was shitty enough to kill the only "Real protagonist" of this drama.

My boy stole the entire show with his visuals and top tier acting skills.

To be honest I hope they introduced and focused more on his backstory earlier, it’s way more interesting and the tension created between him and FL is great. They could have done this by cutting out most of namsoon’s family scenes, especially the romance line of the grandma is completely unnecessary nor entertaining.

To me, he is not only a villain but also a legend, a hero. But more than that in my opinion he is an insecure child who fears betrayal. A proud child who stood tall despite being abandoned by his parents and everyone. A person who makes me want to turn my back to the world for him. He was taught from a young age in order to survive to be the strongest, to stand tall, to fight for what he wants in life. He was abandoned at a young age and was forced to mature at a young age. So it is inevitable that he might be too cold hearted. To me, he is like a child who built an invincible defense wall and surrounded by this fortress is his fragile self that tempts me to protect him, to discover what more surprises he will give to me if he was cared for and loved well. He is the most sober person in the story, knows the pros and cons of the world. But he chooses to let the FL into his castle. He wanted her to be with him. To have someone accompany him. At first, he might have wanted her to join his side because of her superpower but later he eventually started to like her. Ig he might have been suspicious about her real identity but that's what made him more curious about her. "Can I trust you?" "Yes you can, Si-o" But eventually he gets to know that she is the daughter of his enemy and he chooses to keep his word, "to kill her cuz she betrayed him" but for me, I felt that it was his act of wanting to cause trouble but actually not harm her, like a child making a tantrum out of heartache. He had the chance to strangle her to death. He wanted to vent his anger, his pain. He lost the game because of her. Indeed he is a light that can be fake or real but if he tries harder, he can be real. His death made my heart break, such a sweet person was forced to die like that. He just wanted to stand at the top of the food chain, to be stronger and more glorious so that no one would harm him and his group. He is my Male Lead. If anyone can recommend me kdrama with ML's like Ryu Si-o PLEASE do! This series left me so unfulfilled, he should have lived and gotten a redemption arch. How come Hwa gets one and she tries to kill Namsoon twice out of jealousy? Killing Namsoon wouldn't have made her the daughter but she did it anyway. All Ryu Si-o did was kill to survive because he's lived a life where pain and threats are the only things that can protect him. Namsoon didn't even seem that sad about his death after and he bore his heart to her over and over. He deserved more than that world could give him and I wish I could find a series with a character like him who gets their happy ending.

I LOVED SWDBS, rewatched it numerous times. I was excited for this spin-off, watched the first three episodes then dropped it. Wasn’t feeling it at all, no real chemistry between the leads, the FL kept showing her powers to everyone unlike bon soon who wanted to keep hers hidden… such a different vibe. But then I kept seeing shorts with this character …oh. my. goodness. Now I want to watch but from reading various comments, he doesn’t get a lot of screen time each week and he may have a terrible ending. Thank you for this video! It definitely piqued my interest

Screenplay writer puts his philosophy into the mouth of his characters, apparently definition of "strong person" is someone who is not afraid of anything. And I say - Nonsense! Everyone is afraid of losing their health. Maybe they are not afraid of dying but no one will remain strong if they lost their health and were living suffering in pain...To me, "strong person" is someone who has Strong Will to say "NO!" when most people say yes. Someone who is not tempted easily, someone who learned to think in a different way...

I think as a villain he might be great full that she is investigating him, he most likely knows she will betray him. If I think about it his goal was to have her from the start, and the more he gets to know her he becomes great full that they put her a bubbly girl to his side. He gets to seee sides of humanity that he thought were fake.

I was expecting a lot from this drama but i am totally disappointed with this one😢...the plot is mind-numbing😐.... giving importance to nam-soon's mom more then her and that's not at all interesting 🥱and lot of unnecessary scenes like grandma romance, lazy uncle & brother ,those homeless friends etc..etc...those scenes are literally irritating😒...In season one i don't even skip a single bit of scene😌 ...it was just amazing🤩...I have watched it so many times....but S2 got nothing to comment🙄...the only thing that matters is the villain's acting.To me this drama is nothing without the villain😌😌...
