@@matthewl3002 depends on which version from SFV you're referring to. IMHO, the remix for the Suzaku Castle stage is very dope, but the remix made for him as a character theme is subpar in comparison.

@@tc3969 i wish they'd bring her back. Most of the modern renditions of the character themes we had In SF4 and SF% have been god awful. And don't get me started on SF6's soundtrack. It makes me mute the music. They keep trying to appeal to some demographic that doesn't exist.

@@MattyMatthew-m4o Hard disagree on SF6’s music. Music taste is subjective, but I’m pretty sure the reason SF6’s music is so controversial is because the tracks generally lack long phrases and melodies like the classic SF2 themes have. These tracks were made to match SF6’s dynamic music system, which means it shifts frequently as the match does between rounds and at low health. It’s a very different approach to what Capcom’s been doing for the past thirty years, so I guess on some level the hate is partially nostalgia. I think people just need more time for the music to grow on them.

@@tc3969 The hate isn't nostalgia the hate is the lack of memorable music. Making your music dynamic doesn't excuse it being so boring. Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal have dynamic music and get praised for their soundtrack. The reason SF6's soundtrack is unpopular is because it's forgettable and boring, simple as that. Stop huffing copium please.

@@focuspugilist673 objectively sounds more epic and fits ryu theme better. Sf5 theme was peak, but new theme just doesnt fit ryu at all. I understand ryu's theme is not always a remix of the original but it is for the majority of his games with much approval from fans. This is not an issue with the original theme not being remixed (Street fighter 3rd strike theme was not a remix but sounded and fit ryu much better than the sf6 version.)

@@101mrcrazyman idk what parameters youre working with to determine whether a theme fits or not for the punching and kicking loaf of bread that is ryu but i kinda surmised that a typical fan like you would only approve the theme if it has recognizable snippets from his sf2 theme or that if it has sounds produced from traditional japanese instruments. my previous comment was directed at fans who just doesnt want anything new at all for ryu and would straight up called the new theme trash. you have your opinions and i think its acceptable. i just hope youre not a pure hater.
