Ryu's theme in Street Fighter 5 / V Likes/comments are appreciated! Thanks for watching and i hope you enjoy this epic music! I DO NOT OWN or MAKE THIS MUSIC!!! CREDIT GOES TO CAPCOM
+Stuntman Pat. OTC Agreed. I may not know the storyline of Street Fighter, but the transition of his theme from earlier games up until now makes you feel like Ryu has come a long way from where he first started.
+NRG Buster I would not be so sure about that, Did you see his reaction to the Old Man playing his theme in Assassin's Fist? He's self aware that his theme is badass
Hearing this almost got me teary eyed because I remembered growing up in the 90s playing all the street fighter games with friends.. Some aren't with us anymore.. Life eh?
"I'll show you what true strength is! It's the courage to stand in the face of evil and emerge victorious!" I love how Ryu has subtly progressed from being out to only self improve to being actually heroic.
Well once he did emerge victorious he didn’t have to be heroic anymore, so he kept honing his skills. That’s how we see him in street fighter 3, an already accomplished fighter that keeps on improving.
Remember it's only okay to do that if you say:"The answer lies in the heart of battle." Before doing so. Also give your friends a fist bump before you start beating the crap out of them.
I wish you could see my face right now. My jaw is on the freaking floor. I think this has to be by far the most _epic_ rendition of Ryu's theme _ever_, and considering how epic the Smash 4 version is, that's saying something!
Why I respect Ryu ? 1) Best fighter 2) True Warrior 3) Gentleman 4) Fighter who never give up !! that' the spirit !! 5) True fighter who respect his opponent 6) Spiritual person who meditates & he reached at higher state. 7) He is the Monk. Thumbs UP if u agree !! -------------))))) Hadouken.......
If I remember correctly, Dan actually has great potential, but Gouken didn't teach him because he couldn't let go of his anger, and his stubornness in believing his style is the best prevents him from getting better. And also, Dan in SFIV is at least as physically large as the rest of the shotos in terms of muscle, which would lead me to believe he is a strong man.
+MegaProudAlbanian Neither is any of the shotos. They are all strong within normal human levels. Well, maybe Oni isn't, but then again, he's not human, either.
+MegaProudAlbanian yes brother i agree with you there are many good fighters but i like Ryu attitude :) all have different choice i mean i like Ryu even if he lose..
This dude and his theme get better and better. When SFV drops, I know for a damn fact I'll be playing my ass off as my favourite fighting game character. Ryu loyalist for life XD :)
gonzalo torchia Some general out of topic stuff. But I really think it's about damn time Capcom made Ryu and Ken AT LEAST between 182 cms - 185 cms , without footwear. I get it that 5'9 - 5'10 was considered tall in the 90s. But at least Capcom could try moving up with time. They easily can. this is fiction after all. And besides , both Ryu and Ken have always been portrayed s big tall guys since the old days , as well. So Capcom STILL sticking with that 90s mentality that Ryu's a 5'9 , even THOUGH he has been portrayed as a muscular tall guy , doesn't works no more. If they can make a full-blooded Japanese like Karin literally Caucasian , then a tall Japanese grown man wouldn't be a big deal either , specially with how the Asian people are growing up day by day in the height chart. This is fantasy. Capcom can do it very easily.
Well Ryu certainly did not just defeat Akuma, but obliterated him when it comes to his Street Fighter 5 theme. Ryu's SF5 theme is easily one of if not the best he's ever had. Akuma's SF5 theme is the exact polar opposite. Certainly the worst theme Akuma ever had.
i agree with you. I'm just wondering what will happen in the future (maybe in Street fighter 6). Ryu becomes stronger but also akuma. it could be interesting...
Vincent van Asgard84 actually didn't you akuma if his deafetead he will train as hard as possible pushing his body more than a hero can take than he will remove another large part of his humanity so yea kind of akuma even has oni he will keep training till God knows
What in sf 6 ryu sounds even remotely like this? lol. There is literally nothing in any of the 3 sf 6 themes from the old games. This song is a remix of sf 2 ryu tried and true and its fantastic.
It only has the guitar sounds at the beginning and are barely noticeable, the new theme feels like Ryu came out of a motel room or pron set and is pimping, people say he had upbeat themes before but dont understand that those themes had weight and personality of the character, this new sf6 theme doesnt have that it just beats.
+Markell Hawthorne IMO, it's a no brainer. This version is miles better, which is really saying something when you consider the SSB4 version is already extremely awesome.
+Cee Woo if you're referring to when he fought Akuma then yes, other than that when it was like vs mode oni vs evil ryu and other shet like that I have to disagree sort of, this is just down right badass
Ryu has always been my dads favourite. When I showed him this song, he cried in happiness and said “That’s our hero. He is still the same Ryu I knew back in the old days.” I don’t know what to do now, I feel like crying 😓😓 Or hold the legacy of Street Fighter and pass it on to my kids in the future!
+David Wells This is a very common occurrence in video games. Take the Great Revival theme from Ace Attorney for example. It is used multiple times throughout the games. Mostly used for both Franzika Von Karma and I. It's called a motif in music theory, if you wanted to know.
While the 3rd Strike Ryu theme (which takes place after SFV) gives me the feeling that it is Ryu at his mental prime, this SFV gives me the feeling that it is Ryu at his *physical* prime. The fact that it is still the SFII theme melody tells us that Ryu still has the same fire from before, but the theme is extended at 1:22 which tells us that he's further along the path of warrior enlightenment. Just look at his moves, he's learnt how to parry and throw Denjins, probably from Gouken.
MohammedDoesGamez I figured but i can't see the different colored eyes. It looks like they're the same. Ive also never seen her wear anything like that before..
Top 4 favorite street fighter characters: 1:Ryu-for being a great warrior 2:Ken-for being a great friend 3:Guile-for being serious fighter 4:Chun Li-for being such a piece.....ummmm....for having such a great leg fighting tehnique.....and for being such a piece, happy?
Yoshin Pixels It was already obvious that Bison was fucked when Ryu had to step in to finish what Nash started. So in that case, why not just add the theme then? XD
this song really represents Ryu....a strong, stoic person, always looking to master his path in life....and that change of pace at 1:20 its like a dragon which is calm but then becomes fierce like a thunderstorm
Fascinating how nostalgia can be the sweetest and saddest thing at the same time... However the best part, in my opinion, is that I feel it connect us all (gamers) somehow... Keep it alive guys!
Man I really love Ryu. He represents the heart of fighting games, perhaps the heart of martial arts itself: the epic continuous strive to better one-self, and learn more of one another through competition.
ryus theme in sf6 sounds like elevator music. They couldve at least chucked in a few motifs but nope sounds like something completely different to ryu. Now this is ryus theme imo
K so I just got this game for my bday. I hadn't played any street fighter games before but I had damn well heard of the iconic series. Then ryu got into smash 4 (I mostly play Nintendo games) and I heard this song in the game and was amazed by just how good it was and I knew after that I needed to get the next sf game. It's funny how one song prompts me to get a game XD
I dont like the sf 6 music so far just being honest. Not even a little. Id rather they gave us sf 3 remixes maybe then if they wanna go new. This is a fantastic version of ryus theme IMO Sf 5 had fantastic music
"It's time to see what lies in THE HEART OF BATTLE!!" Edit: -sigh- apparently all that lies here is nerfs and profound sadness Edit: MY BOY WAS BUFFED!!! THE SEARCH FOR ANSWERS LIVES ON!!!!!
The grabbed the passionate energetic melody representing the hungry fighting student and turned it into an epic signature theme of a world class martial artist and hero Just like how Ryu changed
"Listen to this theme song twice a day along with a healthy dose of exercise and proper diet and you will transform from a Soy Boy into an Alpha Male." - Dr. Chuck Norris
I feel like this soundtrack is describing a warrior who trying to explore any place for many years, looking for worthy battle because the warrior itself is umbeatable because doing too much hard training.
