I wasn’t sure how to go about linking the shaft and the extending tip blade,
But Senketsu whispered.
“Use me….”
It seems like it’s better to keep things simple, so I decided to use the Life Fiber to pull it.
We have a lot of curves to deal with, so I’ve prepared a pattern instead of just dimensions.
Please print it out on A4 size paper to use it.
Feel free to comment if you have any request('ω')
(Depends on luck whether or not to make it)
Making Ryuko Matoi’s Scissor blade from Kill la Kill with cardboard.
By pulling the fist-guard, the tip of the blade extends and turns into Decapitation Mode.

[Supplementary info]
I used the two parts, D and F in order to lock the shaft, but it’s honestly useless so you can probably skip that part.
Oil from your hands can really damage the cardboard,
so if you’re thinking of long-term use,
I recommend taking advantage of materials made specifically for cosplay.
I used this font for Kill la Kill.
