This is an attractive board by Gigabyte, which I am increasingly gaining respect for. Sadly it will not support the Vermeer chips but still an interesting board. For Vermeer compatibility you may want to consider a 450 or 550 mobo.

Hello there! Some stress testing, overclocking of the cpu/memory, etc, and benchmarks would have been appreciated. Also a price list with competitive retailers would have enriched the content. Also, it is always nice to see a human being as opposed to just your arms but, that being said, overall well done.

I have an issue. When i installed 2* 3200 Ram stick it only gets 2133 speed. However if I put 1* 3200 Ram, it gets 2933. What's the problem. In the site, it supports 2 DDR4 3200 speed. My Specs. AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz. Should I enable XMP? Is it safe?

Nice video! I have a 1660ti gpu, r5 3600 cpu and dual 16gb ram on this motherboard installed. I also have a samsung 860 evo 500gb ssd and a samsung 840 240gb ssd installed. I now want to ad another SSD a 1TB SSD i just buyed the samsung 870 evo SSD 1TB can i ad this third one to this motherboard? Or should i return it and install a M.2 SSD as a third SSD? I hope you can help me with this. I hope i can ad a Samsung 970 evo M.2 SSD to my pc, but i am so confused with this feel a bit noob again.

I did not update the bios yet as it was updated late 2020. I would try reinserting the ram. If you can try a different graphics card. Also are you plugging in monitor to graphics card?

@@whattmeter i tried reinserting the ram yeah, and putting it in the farthest over slot (just one) and i don’t get any signal at all. the gpu fans spin and i tested it on my friends pc so i know it works. and yes, i’ve got the monitor plugged into the card hdmi. i think my cpu may be the problem.

I would plug in hdmi to motherboard first. My guess is you need to install graphics card drivers before you can plug hdmi to graphics card

Unfortunaltely the a320 chipset only supports PCIE 3.0. to use PCIE 4.0 You will need a b550 or x570 motherboard and a PCIE 4.0 NVME for the high er read write speeds. if your A320 has an M.2 slot you will be able to use a PCIE 3.0 NVME drive which while not as fast is noticably quicker than a standard SSD or hard drive.

Don't but the PCIE gen4 SSDs as this mobo is limited to gen3 speeds.

hey i have GIGABYTE GA-A320M-S2H Rev 1.0 and Amd ryzen 5 3400g. well, my concern is that whether this motherboard will support m.2 nvme gen3 with ryzen 5 3400g because when I was browsing the gigabyte's website, it said nvme doesn't support G- series ryzen processors. There are plenty available on amazon or ebay. Local computer shops as well. Just do a search for standoff. Most of the ones I see online come in a many pieces. Usually under $10. I’m trying to think if you can get them individually. I would check local computer shops if they are nearby

It depends on the cooling that you have on your case. You can check the temperature of your ssd with crystal disk info or other methods to see if it is maintaining its cooling

any gpu will work, but your limited to pcie3 speeds (which doesn't make much difference for current gen gpus)

Oh the cpu in the video is just a ryzen 5 1600. This mobo is a rev 3. If you get the rev 3 version like the one in the video then yea it will run ryzen 5 2600 out the box. I would make sure the box says AM4 socket too. The one I got had a pretty recent bios installed out the box so this should be able to. Also yes this runs ram in 3200 but youd have to turn on xmp profile

You can check top left of motherboard to see what rev it is. If it’s a rev3 it should support ryzen 1st 2nd 3rd gen as stated on gigabyte website www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-A320M-S2H-rev-3x#kf

Without updating the bios? Check gigabyte compatibility list. Might have to update bios to support it. Check the gigabyte website to see what it supports for cpu

yup, I tried it and you can change the bios to overclock the ram. Make sure you have the newest revision of the motherboard though. I don't know if the older versions of this mother board can handle 3200 mhz ram.

I just tried to pop in a Ryzen 5 5500 on the same board but when I booted up I didn't get any display at all. Not sure why. I'm using the latest bios F55 that's supposed to support this chip. My Ryzen 3 220G worked just fine though. Any suggestions?

@@guywithapotato1658 The issue the motherboard needs a bios update to be compatible with Ryzen 5. I ended up returning my motherboard (since it’s impossible to update the bios for that motherboard without a Ryzen 1/2/3). I bought instead this motherboard from Amazon and worked with Ryzen 5600G: ASUS Prime B450-A II AMD AM4 Micro ATX for $81

pretty sure it supports up to 2666 mhz, over that you'll have to overclock to maybe 3000 mhz for the system to run without overheating, just from experience.

nice! one thing I noticed is lack of fan ports. only one for the system fan and one for the cpu fan on the motherboard, so you if you are planning on using a lot of fans you might need a fan hub or you might have to hook some fans directly to the power supply.

I've checked every solution under the fucking sun and at this point imma just upgrade my motherboard

@@typhoon109 if your computer boots with single ram stick in one slot and not with a same single ram stick in the other slot that means slot is broken. i'd get the mobo replaced or buy a new one. or try cleaning that slot with compressed air, could be a pube that's stuck in it. yeah
