São Paulo - Congonhas Airport CGH is considered a dangerous and difficult airport to fly to because of its relatively short runways and its central and completely built-up location. After the opening of Guarulhos Airport GRU, Congonhas only serve the domestic air traffic of Brazil, but still is used intensively. The planes are crowded together on the apron, where passengers can walk independently to their plane and without to be forced taking a bus. I'm really annoyed about myself, that I wasn't filming much more that time. If someone had told me back then on October 30th, 2000 that Varig, VASP, TAM and Rio Sul would no longer exist in 20 years, I would have zoomed in on each aircraft individually and given each several seconds in detail. It is also no longer possible to have a clear view on the aircrafts and the apron; the modernized airport building and jet bridges block the view.
