This live performance was my ticket into the world of KEXP. It was sometime in mid-2015 when this live performance played itself on RU-vid behind another song for me. I don't know why. I don't listen to that style of music. But I'm extremely glad for it. It's how I got to know KEXP. Where I regularly search for new music. And I also started listening to Sólstafir even though I wouldn't have listened to that style of music before. In a word, epic live performance and music! Sólstafir !

Love Solstafir - but damn KEXP - you have to put commercials in the middle of songs? I get it, you need to make money, we all do - but how about between songs? or at the start and finish of the performance - sheesh.

Looks like Kexp cut out the part where they abused their drummer.

the way they treated the drummer kind of leaves a sour taste in my mouth when listening to this band. They're really good, but obviously not very nice people.

look at his new band he replaced just about everyone.. he likes to keep things fresh its just his style. trying new people making new music. why keep the same people around? the music will eventually get dull and sound too much of the same. look at slipknot lead singer doing like 3 different bands and winning awards.. opportunity in experimenting and challenging yourself to try new things.

Hello, does anyone know what is that guitar effect/accessory used by the singing-guitarist to produce the long guitar note without picking?

Pretty damn technical for just winging it in the basement of a radio station,I'd say.
