I have never left a comment on anyone's RU-vid video but I wanted to thank you for this video. I put a texturizer in my teenage son's hair and it worked very well but the problem is dryness. Now I know not to wash it too often and what moisturizers and gels to use. I have looked at many RU-vid videos about texturizers- how to maintain the curl, how to put the texturizer in, night and day care for a texturizer. I saw many videos by females and a few by men and I figured it is my son so I wanted to hear how a young man takes care of his texturizer and I found you. Your video was, by far, the most detailed and your explanations were very clear. That is important when teaching which is, essentially, what you are doing. Blessings to you and I hope God gives you the desires of your heart.
Zenobia Hill : just get curl activator in the beauty supply store. Spray you son’s hair with water and conditioner. I use exactly the biotin purple bottle conditioner this young man is using. The conditioning spray makes the hair soft. Rub in a generous amount of curl activator, comb out and work the curls with your fingers. Your son should look snatched!!
So that's the trick to getting good results when texturizing your TWA! Grow about 2 inches; texturize with S-Curl then get a cut/line-up!!! Hands down, one of the best texturizing/s-curl videos on RU-vid. *thumbs up*

It came out so good on your hair. I've watched so many videos of women doing s-curl on their hair and it just does not come out with all that definition and I don't know why.

I can see that you are a beautiful person inside and out. I just want to encourage you that God never makes a mistake...everything that happens in life is set with a purpose..AND WHEN LIFE HAPPENS, we have to purposefully use that to develop who we are on the inside so it can be seen on the outside like the lion. Amazing!! Very detailed! And I remember your video from 2years lol I tried it and it looked pretty good till I cut it low thinking I could just transfer it to easy waves and my hair was just normal. I didn't reapply the texturize so here I am looking for this look again. Lol

I know many agree with what I said but, I also know that it upset just as many; probably more. Please know that it wasn't to hurt any one's feelings, but the danger of hair straightening cream is very real! Gentle and careful combing is the best way. It is so sad to see black girls who have had enough with natural hair decide to use cancer causing creams for straight hair. Both (black and woman) are at serious risk😢

+Az steez Nah it doesnt. Only because you have straight hair and a texturizer's purpose is to loosen already existing curls. Basically it makes curly hair straighter and straight hair cant get straighter

My hair will curl with the same definition as yours at the 16:09 mark with just leave-in and a little gel. @StylezByJuBae It looks like you and I have almost the same texture when our hair is picked-out. Have you tried leave in conditioner and gel to achieve the same results without the s curl? I wanted to use s-curl because I thought it would loosen the curl pattern a little bit and I could skip the whole "liquid.. oil .. gel" routine lol but it doesn't look like it will do that.
Next time you do a virgin s curl try pressing it like a relaxer. Make the hair flat. Then take the small tooth comb and rake it through. When you you see a slight wave. Wash it out. And process... Your curl will be huge...

Guys ! Once you use the S-curl texturizer, YOU APPLY THE Luster's S Curl No Drip Activator Moisturizer!!!!!!!!!! THATS IT. Otherwise you ruin the purpose of even getting the s-curl texturizer in the first place.
Yebs Yebio Yea apply the texturizer and leave in for however long, rinse, then use the stuff for washing it that comes in the kit. After the washing, rinse it out. Then apply the moisturizer right away and then daily, that’s the only product you use. Make sure that your hair STAYS moist with the activator during the first three days and do not comb your hair during this time. It could really mess up the process. So sleep with a plastic cap on and then you could throw a hair covering on top if you prefer not to have your plastic cap showing. So wear it only at bed time, and through the night. After the three days, you can comb the hair gently and continue to apply the activator spray. Mine lasted 7 months and I originally had 4b/4c hair. The activator is a product you should use DAILY and comb through. That’s it! A lot ppl think of...let me add some Cantu, or this and that noo... activator only, you get the most bang for your buck! After the treatment I waited almost two months to wash my hair. You don’t need too much manipulation. I washed my hair with my normal shampoo and conditioner then soaked my hair back down with the activator and combed through. My hair freakin GREW 6-7 inches quickly!
Eastside Cripone Well, you can do whatever you want because it’s your hair but I stuck to using only the S-curl moisturizer and my treatment lasted longer and looked better than majority of these youtubers. So there ya go, you choose.💙
Wow it was so cool to see u again dude. I used the s curl thing before like in the beginning of this year and looked great. But later on i cut my hair lol. But thx for the tips next time i do this it will look and stay healthier.
