Also Subodh Mukherjee have signed S,.D.Burman for his film "Sharmilee" in 1971. Same thing happened with Pramod Chakravarty. After "Ziddi" (1964) S.D.Burman fell ill and Pramod Ji signed Shankar Jaikishan for his film "Love in Tokyo" (This is version from R.D.Burman's interview.) Again the same happened in 1971. Pramod Chakravarty signed S.D.Burman for his film Naya Zamana. Director Producer Amarjeet took S.D.Burman in 1965 for his film Teen Devian the songs of which are remembered till now. But in 1968 Amarjeet Signed Shankar Jaikishan for the film Duniya. This film is having atmost two songs hardly remembered. Again Amarjeet signed S.D.Burman in 1971 for the film Gambler which was having exceptional songs. Thank you for your presentation regarding the fight between S.D.Burman and Shankar Jaikishan which started in 1950 and continued till 1969 and S.D.Burman won the battle with Aradhana the music of which had completely changed the musical scenario.
In an interview (Available in YT), Sakti Samanta said that he drafted S. D. Burman because he wanted special type of music of softer kind for which he thought S. D. Burman was more suitable.
