Very Nice, Caitlin; I've been a New York City hard-Mod/traditional skin'ead since the 1980s...as a lad in France throughout '79 (Mum's Parisian) all me mates were Brits, which held a lasting impression as far as accent/dialectical inflection & cultural-musicological influences go. We all wound up on NYC metro-area TV chat-shows in the later '80s, e.g. 'Best Talk in Town', 'People are Talking' & the local news -- not to mention, that infamous chair-throwing 'Geraldo Rivera' episode: Those are all my close friends in the front row.
