Hey, I had a similar issue with the arm ball joints being stiff as well, but luckly the dish soap techqinue you had fixed that, just made it a bit squeaky. Also, for anyone else, DO NOT use a hair dryer to loosen joints on this figure, I tried that, and now the seam line on the right side started to open up. =/

The figure has not fallen apart, but there is a very noticeable opeining on the right hip seam line and on the joint where the thigh swivel connects. :/ And I do not want to attempt to close it out of the fear of the figure then falling apart.

What can I say? You have pretty much become one of the go tos for figure reviews. Shame Tamashii have thrown the ball this year. Btw, would love to voice for your reviews again sometime.

Which is the BIGGER ULTRA MAN renewal you are comparing and the price ?? I believe, the trend price on the renewal is about $130. while the new one is now about $59. (for 1or 2 inch difference??? )

+Richard Lamer Noooo, the renewal is like $30 now even on import sites. It got issued about 5 times. And there's only one renewal.

Nice review bro!!! It's not bad but could of and should of been so much better. I really don't know what's been going on with S.H. Figuarts lately. For the longest time for my money they have been the gold standard for import figures. However lately it seems like they've just been phoning it in. I hope this trend changes soon.

The hips were pathetically loose and floppy on mine, and the shoulders stiff and creeky as fuck. Really disappointing I returned it.

I started my Ultraman figure collection with Ultra Act, and I’m gonna stick with it. I do appreciate Figuarts’ attention to detail and accuracy by looking almost exactly like the suit actor in the suits while filming and I know Ultra Act isn’t suit actor-accurate but at the same time I honestly prefer how it’s not suit actor accurate because me personally I prefer the Ultra Act’s more anime-alien/humanoid build. Plus Figuarts is a midget, I prefer the height on Ultra Act because it fits better with my other figures and I prefer Ultraman being taller and bigger
