Great review. This is definitely my preferred version of Mechagodzilla 3, so I need to grab this guy. I'm glad to see the head damage is a whole new head and not just using the replaceable eye gimmick from the first one. By the way, love the use of the new effects kits! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for Watching and Thanks for the Support! Keep up the fantastic work on your end too! I loved that reissue of the elder predator you just reviewed.
I need this! Plus they used rubber tubes instead of wire for the arm cannons. Now it seems like they're less likely to break like one of mine. It also looks like the tail got longer as well. I can't wait until get this.
Fresh Review! I really dig this figure. This makes it hard to choose which is better but both are so different yet very similar. I love the grittier tone of this one from the paint job. The arm canons, drill hand, back pack and damaged eye are really stand outs. Did you know the crown on the head comes off just like the original Kiryu? Not sure why it was made like that other than being made in the same fashion as the first Kiryu. Overall, a standout figure that represents this lines awesome potential.
Thanks for Watching and Thanks for the Support! I think I like heavy arms over the original. Yup, I swapped the eyes as soon as I got him. I love this release.
***** do you always waste your money on these figures? Man no wonder why you have a big collection of shma! You must be rich or something. That is awesome! Well dont forget to review mecha-ghidorah next year! As always nice review Dr. Doom!
Richard Eso oh! So you planning on collecting all the sh monster arts or something beacause that would take weeks but still worth it. Since I dont have that much money im only going to collect bandai creations and treadmasters for now and once I have those all in my collection I will save up my money for an shma collection! Godzilla is the best!
I have the first release, I wish they would've released a add on pack with all the stuff this one comes with, seems like a waste to spend more money on the same figure with extra attachments. I do love the figure. And it's almost if not twice the price! if I hadn't gotten the first release I would've picked this one up for sure.
something everyone misses on both Kiryus the rocket that pop out of the legs if you pull on the end they extend and are easier to turn when extended great review by the way :)
I love the shot at the end there with all of the MGs and Moguera together. I have to say, I was planning to skip this figure but I just loved the battle worn look of the paint job. The first version looks like he just came off the assembly line whereas this one looks like he has seen battle. Another great review. Oh, and you say fantastic a lot. lol :-D
Thanks for Watching and Thanks for the Support Darryl! That would be nice, but if they send me a sample, I can't promise I would send it back to them lol.
I think I should collect this figure and add it to my collection I really like the dark silver on it and to be honest for a collector like me I’m kinda scared to claim him cuz of his small parts Great and fantastic review Diegodoom
Diego Doom What a fantastice Review I loved it I have A Question what is the music you use int the Size Comparision and are you gonna buy the S.H MonsterArts Godzilla and King Ghidorah 2019 figure
There was one thing you missed with the leg thruster. after you pull it out, grab the bottom of the thruster and pull down slowly. this fully reviels the thruster.
Great review and awesome figure! I almost bought it at nycc (they had it early) but I opted for destroyah since they were the same price. May get this figure online anyway!
I actually can't tell which version I like more. I like the sculpt on the original figure more and the color palette on Heavy Arms just a tiny bit more. The designs of their weapons are equally good. If the original figure had the tone of grey Heavy Arms has and had a darker, slightly muted blue for the battle gear, it'd be the perfect design in my opinion. Edit: Though I still agree with the stance on a muted blue, I've decided I like the tone of silver used on the original a bit more.
I’m excited for that new Kiryu repaint! As of right now, I may not have any money sense I spent it on the Destoroyah repaint at G-Fest and 54 once I got back home. But I’m a teenager with a lawn mowing business and no bills to pay. I can get it within a couple month’s :P Speeking of which, are you getting the new Kiryu? Also, did you ever get the Spacegodzilla and Little Godzilla set? And finally, what year do you plan on heading to G-Fest if at all?
I decided not to pick up the Space Godzilla set. I looked at my collection and decided I didn't not those repaints. I skipped the Battra and Mothra repaints as well. I will pick up the final battle Kiryu once he is released. I might go to G-Fest next year, but I can't say for sure just yet. I'm sure you have seen on twitter, I'm now on the path of becoming a competitive Street Fighter player. Now my budget is split between collecting, making reviews, traveling for Street Fighter tournaments, and possibly G-Fest. I will try to fit G-Fest in the budget this year.
Makes sense! Most of the cost comes from just getting there! Is there any particular reason for not getting the new Kiryu, other than the fact that you have 2 of them? Because I would assume it's the general cost if not that.
I'm exited for that sub-zero cannon! Hopefully we get the great shading we see on the Heavy Arms Kiryu as well! The first one looked a little fake without it.
if i haven't picked up either and i am definetly wanting a Kiryu, which one would you recommend the most? Tokyo SOS Kiryu or the first Kiryu from Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla?
Your videos are awesome, keep up the good work! btw, do you prefer the 2003 Kiryu/Mechagodzilla 3 or the 2002 version that SH monster Arts has released?
Awesome video!!! I have to say this is one of your best reviews, dude. BTW, I'd say you liked the effect parts a little too much, how many did you buy? 3 of each?
One thing that can be a drag here is his thunder thighs. they're just a bit..inflexible. Well, he was designed to mimic Godzilla afterall, so he was meant to be a tank and a straightforward fighter.
I think i got very lucky today..i found one bran new for 124$....everywhere else ive been looking, it goes for 175$-225$ Even though its still expensive, it was at least 50$ cheaper than the cheapest one i found before, so i bought it I still need burning Godzilla though...i hope to find one soon
Aaron Cabrera no luck needed, theres more than enough burning Godzilla figures available...you just need to know where to look But at the moment, theres much more interesting figures for me to get than burning Godzilla
Awesome review as usual! I hope tamashi makes a black version of Kiryu like the chogokin one, I'd get that in a heartbeat. I'm definitely going for the blue version of Yuji's "millennium" Godzilla next year though.
Hi Diego Doom, great review as always! Since this is the last Sh Monsterarts figure of the year, what's your opinion on 2014 in full for Sh Monsterarts? Was it better than last? Also I think you should do a Top 2014 Figures video when the year ends, even though I'm pretty sure we all know what the top figure would be...*cough* X-plus *cough*
Awesome figure and very nice review! His price tag is the only thing holding me back from getting him :( I am curious though, where do you get the spiky explosion pieces? Not the ball from the effects set, but the more orange-brown piece that looks like it's shooting into the sky?
Vankor Thanks for Watching and Thanks for the Support! They are the tamashii explosion effect parts. I imported mine, but I think you can pick them up at most places now.
@@DiegoDoom Thank you! I love the s.h. monsterarts line but, after they are released they can go for alot of money also, I was worried about your bank account so that was a relief.
Also I have a question. Is this like Garuda, where its just the extra weps, and you gotta buy the figure separate, or does it come with a whole entire other figure.
I don't know if I should buy the Heavy Arms or the regular MFS-3 Kiryu. I'm having a hard time on whether or not I should buy the movie accurate MFS-3, or the Over Powered Heavy Weapons MFS-3. Which one would be a better buy?
