Tons of high level details. Must be alot of white belts upset in the comments since the armbar is the easy part, getting there with control is the important part. They could change the title to "armbar setup"

I might be wrong, but I'm quite confident I heard from Gordon itself that going to hug your opponent's head without making an underhook in any of his arm first, is going to facilitate the kipping escape for him.

Its all about control, first learn to get the position. Armbar is easy if you get to this s mount. You can even tap someone with pressure from s mount with your legs and arms, before even you attack the arm.
