She sounds good but what Mary brought to these songs was pain . When she sang " any way you want it any way you need it " it didn't come from a sexual desire . She practically cried pleading for him in a sense like total surrender of body and soul even if hurts . Actually sad . Beautiful, tragic and sad , but fk bad assssss! Nobody can replace Mary Davis .
I agree I was in the nucleus Era of the SOS band.Mary was from Woodinville Savannah Georgia my home she is a Tompkins High School Graduate. Clearance saw the sister's potential he called up Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who where the original members of the infamous Time to produce their first album in Atlanta GA the rest is history

Please bring Mary Davis out of retirement, these ladies are nowhere near the vocal talent of Mary Davis. Their timing, and pitch to the music is way off. You can never impersonate the originator who is the Great Mary Davis. At least we have her immortalized in so many great SOS concert RU-vid videos. Without Mary in the lead they come off like an SOS cover band. The band is tight, with a few original members, but Mary brings it all together. There’s a reason why it’s called lead vocals. Thank you on updating me on the condition of Mary. I didn’t know that she had a stroke. I hope that God will continue to bless her and she can continue to live a normal life.

👀...You have a true critical ear for studio recorded live performances.. You know like, more analog studio drumkit drumming and less of the Adlibing cymbal rapid tapping explosive cymbal crashing. The natural snare is the lazy way about it. That's not what we fans pay for and not the remixed version of this live performance. If Sade, the Eagles, Luther Vandross, and Train just to name a few is doing it or has done it without audience or very little participation...umhm

50/50 Light weight vocals & winded. Someone turn her MIC UP SHM. Has Lack of vocal power. She's a background vocalist Not a Lead vocalist to represent a band with a string of hits to deliver. Band sounds just fine. This so far is not the strongest nor best new Lead vocalist. Keep them as dancers & background vocalists. Get a church choir lady to SING them hits!
I TOTALLY agree! Much better lead singers than that and SOS deserves the best. I doubt these women were handpicked because they are not an 1/8th of Mary's voice. I've heard better female singers locally in my city. Ladies stage presence and performance is not there. Disaapointment who ever picked them..
