Needless to say, S.O.S. is too special in every possible way. I never realized how short the song was,about 4.5 minutes, until I started this. It always felt like forever when I listened to it, that's how impactful it is to me. The existence of so many performances is a blessing and also a burden. There were too much to be included into a 4-5 minute video.
Out of 7 versions, I picked 5 from fan videos, which were less well known than other more popular versions. Those fancams versions , despite not having the equally high-quality visual and audio as official videos, are so beautiful and I personally think they deserve to be exposed to more audience.
I was stuck for a long time and couldn't help feeling pressured. I feared I would not do it enough justice. Because it's S.O.S, it's THE song.
Luckily one day I received these words which I'm so grateful for, from my friend @LiLaSi.
"don't get into the trap of "doing the song justice" because you're not making this for some official, promo use. You'll make the song justice when you'll make your inspiration and your feelings justice"
That's how I gained back my courage to continue...
This is definitely not my most satisfying work, but surely the one that got me struggling the most . I wouldn't talk much about what feelings and emotions the work brought to me, I tried to put them all in the compilation.
