more than 70k songs. and 16 languages is a hoax, as more than 96 percent of his songs are in 3 languages. telugu, his mother language; tamil, his home tongue, for he lived in madras since the late 60s. and kannada, for which he had great personal affinity. 1 or 2 percent are his hindi songs. and so are his malayalam songs. the rest of 11 languages are for filling the slot. 3 or 4 songs in every one of those tongues does not signify anything.

I have had the privilege to see him in person very close by just 2 feet away.. I have had the opportunity to see him perform in his live concert twice.. இந்தத் தேகம் மறைந்தாலும் இசையாய் மலர்வேன்.. SPB is a legend. There is this one song which i remember suddenly while talking about him. This is my fav too. Yamma yamma sing from 7am arivu movie. We miss him a lot and lot. He still lives in his songs as he said in one of his song!❤ And my father had worked with him. 'He was such a nice person' my father would say often.

The reason why SPB was so loved was because despite so much greatness, despite singing songs that other singers half his age would struggle to do justice, the man was so humble. Spb once silenty sang in the back chorus for a junior singer who was singing HIS song on stage. When the junior singer realised, Spb simply gestured to him to continue singing. You would find so many people who have met him, whether a layperson or a celebrity, they all say the same thing. That he is so down to earth, so easily approachable, and makes everyone around him happy. This is why the entire nation mourns him. A good man has been taken away

He's loved by everyone of all age groups. His age as number alone 74 but his music/ voice is still the same as he is in his 20's when he came in to industry. He's so humble and down to earth person. I think his last recording was for Rajinikanth sir's upcoming movie intor song but forgive me if I am wrong this piece of information. If that's true eagerly waiting for the song to be released. He had given us tons n tons of song's which we could use our whole lifetime. Those songs suits for every emotions. His songs always helped me come out of dipression. I am one among the crores of fans who's going to miss him as a person and his new songs. May his soul rest in peace

As SPB often revealed during his stage performances, it was not sung in one breath.The song sequence was such that his partner challenges him to sing it in one breath. But during the stage performances he takes the breath so subtly which too he admits, inspite of it he gets a rousing applause and appreciation for the reason that, the extreme love people had on him. He is so humble, extremely polite,supremely talented,and amazingly versatile and ventured in to all kinds of genres successfully. The most surprising part was that he is not a trained musician.
