S.S.Shieldhall Blowing her steam fog horns in a salute to the Grand Princess.
This may be the last time this year or longer or maybe never. It`s your steam ship we work hard trying to save her and look after her. But the Shieldhall needs some steel ribs to be replaced which will last for another 50 years, Not bad for 54 year Mot . BUT this will cost the Charity 250.000 to 500.000 pounds that it don't have.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I live in Locks heath, up the road from Warsash and I can here this boat all the way up here! Always puts a smile on my face and reminds me of the R.N. Destroyers that pop through sometimes :D This is the most expensive section of water in the World folks. Huge cruise ships like this are a common sight.

Beat cruise ships shiedlhall the best of the lot by far she has the best whistle in the Solent by miles no one can beat that can they absolutely brilliant!!!!!🇬🇧

That's a steam siren, many tugboats and navy vessels had them back in the day, even some buildings had them too. You could make it scream or tone it down using the cable or a valve like with the whistle.
