Wow, thanks for telling me about the fact that holding 4-5 of the same artifact allows you to not only be invincible standing in its corresponding anomaly, but also even restores your armor!

The "Fire Battery" is supposed to be called "Shell." Some mods rename it accordingly. My fave artifacts have always been Moonlight and Crystal, but I've also more recently started getting more use out of Slug and Mica. If you wear an egghead suit (of your choice), two Moonlights, and three Crystals, you'll have unlimited stamina combined with high rad resistance. I call it "the explorer's loadout." If you're wearing at least two Crystals, you won't need to carry antirad.
I actually have a lot of experience with finding mama's beads, at least before the big emission. I always found them spawning around areas with fruit punch and burner anomalies. Particularly in the garage to the left as you enter Wild Territory.
Only a few alien artifacts are described in the novella "Roadside Picnic" which was perhaps the main inspiration for Stalker. Of those, there is notably the "empty" - two brassy disks that are kept a constant distance from each other with apparently nothing in between, yet no force can move the disks closer or father apart. Red claims to have seen one that does contain something between the disks. The Spring artifact of the game is nearest any of the in-game collectables come to the book.
The belt capacity was reduced in the final game, but in the builds, where it was capable of storing up to 16 artifacts, stacking the mama beads and koloboks would've made them FAR more effective (80% damage reduction for each source). If you mod them to higher percentages (above 20) like the other dummies, they exhibit the the same healing/repairing behavior.
The Thorn family of artifacts works oddly, but well. They don't cause bleeding, really, rather they make bleeding you get from any damage like bullets or rupture to last longer. If you're not getting hurt, they have zero downsides, and even if you do take some licks, you're not a real stalker unless you have bandages on hand.
In Agroprom Underground after midnight I went afk for some time. When I came back, in the second room (with Burnt Fuzz and just before the Electro hallway on the left) on the floor there were two Flash and a Pellicle. I placed the three artifacts in the Box at the Hanger in Garbage. When I came back later, the Pellicle was gone and has not reappeared. I did not sell it. I am not aware of anything else disappearing from my several Boxes. Only mods installed is the Starter Pack 2019.
Ok so the effect of having numerous artifacts on to have anomalies heal and repair your armor may not be an intentional design choice but more so of a programming accident as I noticed one artifact had protection of 30%, but having all 5 will go over the 100% which means you aren't just not taking damage but converting the damage, its very technical even my screwed up mind cannot explain it. but I sort of miss some of the artifacts in SOC not being radioactive as in Call of Pripyat, its a tad hard to get full use of artifacts when I am dedicating 2 or 3 slots to anti rads while a lot of the artifacts are mostly mehs.
dude, the Moonlight looks straight up gorgeous edit: about the jellyfish line, my thought is that Night Stars are jellyfish right as they are formed and they degrade over time, explaining Jellyfish being far more common since it's hard to find an artifact just as it has been formed
Hopefully the armor repair still works on Legends of the Zone console editions. They supposedly patched a bunch of glitches and exploits, but the elevator glitch seems to still work.
Do you feel artifacts in SoC have more lore consistency than in the other games? Because I feel I like more SoC artifacts than the artifacts in the other games.
Any idea how to find crystal thorne? Game is on Xbox now and I need it for achievement but I don’t have any stash locations which are mentioned on stalker wiki . Heh can u help with that ?
