Did I have more QC issues with yet another S&W or was my mind blow by how awesome this new carry comp was. Watch full review and table top coming soon!!
I bought the PC Shield Plus with fiber optic sights and a ported barrel. Love the pistol, but have had to send it back to S&W twice for repairs. I bought it with the CT-1550 red dot which in itself was not a problem but the erratic ejection pattern of the empty casings were bouncing off the dot window back into the chamber causing stovepipe malfunctions. Carbon fouling of the dot window would happen in as little as 3 rounds being fired from the chamber peephole being so close to the dot window. Taking the dot off solved these problems and the pistol now shoots great & the porting makes for a pleasant gun to shoot. Accurate shooting with a combat hold sight picture. Now one of my favorite pistols, without a dot of course.
Haha Ty sir I get love and hate on the Jeep. It’s actually my wife’s Jeep but the road down in there is narrow and my 3500 get scratched up when I take it down there which I do sometimes. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
@toddm9501 well thank you sir. It’s actually my wife’s jeep I drive a 3500 Silverado, but it’s easier to get down the road where range is with the jeep so I mostly take it to the range. Thanks for watching bro
Trigger is horrible but if you don’t hunt a reset it’s actually a very accurate and fun little shooter. I’m thinking about putting a trigger in it and putting it into the rotation
@@GSquaredTactical it would also fix the slide release issue rubbing on trigger bar causing slide lock people are having on the metal frame version by swapping triggers
Your exactly right went to gun shop and played with one. The trigger is not a 800 plus dollar trigger. Sometime I believe these gun companies own stock in sight and trigger companies. … lol So the fuse you shot is it comped.? Great job on reviewing and honesty , because if not a lot of money would be wasted.
Yeah man, thanks glad you can accept someone speaking badly of a gun or brand you might like. It’s not that I’m trashing them. I’m just speaking the truth about shortcomings on this platform especially at a $800 price tag.
You know that this is an M&P made in 2024, not a Glock made in 1988 with unlined polymer mags, right? Holy crap, the absolute Tourette’s fit of THROWING the mags out of the grip was insane and had me laughing till I felt like choking. They drop free and fast. No need for the theatrics 😂
You know it’s people like you that make the Honest Outlaw and the other huge YT channels not even comment back to viewers or for that matter even look at their comments. Because they worry more about what the reviewer is wearing, trash they might have tossed temporarily on the ground, hat they wear, glasses or type of ear protection they have on or the way they hold a gun rather than the gun itself. When I watch YT videos of guns I do so to see if the gun performs not if the reviewer is a cock diesel, tatted up, sweaty dude crawling around on the ground showcasing his skills rather than the guns. My channel is far from theatrical and I would toss mags if I filmed it or not and you know why? Because it’s my gun, my mags and my money bud not yours. People typically do that knowing that the creator isn’t likely to see it or even look at it. So they are trying to get a rise out of other viewers that might agree with them so they can laugh and smack talk a creator behind a screen. I personally know (like he’s an hr from me) one of the biggest RU-vidrs on YT who I will leave unnamed. Actually I know 2 both with over 500k subs and they tell me that because of people like you they turn their comment alerts off so they don’t even know people commenting. I said well yeah but I like to communicate with the people who support me. They said yeah well they don’t feel the same way. 40% of them use it as a platform to be a troll behind a screen and to get a laugh out of other viewers looking for acceptance. Come back in a year and let’s see if you still looking at comments. If people didn’t feel the need to be a dick they could have open access to some of the biggest tubers on YT. Have a great and blessed day my friend and hey…”you stay classy.”
@@GSquaredTactical wow. Feel better? Thanks for the lecture, I’ve been on the platform creating review content since 2012, and have 5 channels, so I’m well aware of how people are on here. If you can’t handle honest criticism, then maybe don’t create public content. It wasn’t a venomous, hate-filled comment, it was a small critique and a joking jab at something silly. I didn’t shoot your dog. A little advice from someone who’s been doing this a while: take criticism as intended, and there isn’t always a need to fire back. If it’s rude or inflammatory, ignore it or delete it. If it’s a fun poke, poke back. If it’s a genuine criticism, then humble yourself a little bit and see if it’s valid.
Constructive would have been…”hey man I wished we was back in 1988 when they made guns and magazines like tanks, but sadly we live in a day and age when people make things the cheapest way they can including magazines. It’s your gun so of course do what you want. However, given the quality in 2024 I personally wouldn’t throw my mags on the ground unless you are prepared to buy more.” Nope that’s constructive!! Telling someone they was having a made scientists fit slinging mags and that you was choking on something isn’t constructive at all. I know this because I’ve been told by employers that the reason I would one day own my own hvac business is because I was teachable, humble and willing to learn even from people younger than I. I’ve owned my own hvac business for 14 years now and I am a humble teachable person who handles genuine criticism very well so if I respond the way I did it because it was in no way constructive nor was it intended that way. Joke? Well maybe to you but I have found that when people get called out about something (including myself) they have a tendency to say…”it was a joke”, or “I was joking.”
Yeah just slap it and it’ll be fine or change it to an apex. Sucks that you’ve got to change parts on a $700 gun when you know Smith knows it sucks and people want a better trigger. They was a trigger away from this gun being completely awesome which pisses me off honestly
I feel ya man that’s why I insist on co-witness and honestly most of the time the dot is off and I’m using the irons just because I’m old school but you have to review it that way or people will start trolling asking about dots etc so I do. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
On some of them, it does not like on the carry comp shield it didn’t seem to do anything in fact, seemingly made it worse, but on the MP 2.0 and the prodigy comp it seemed to make a huge difference. Thanks for watching and for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
@@GSquaredTactical thank you for your reply. I am thinking about purchasing the MP2.0 carry comp but our local Cabela's or Sportsman Warehouse does not have them in stock yet. I never had a pistol with compensator. I can't wait to get my hand on this.
It is a very nice gun shoots, very accurately and flat, but as I mentioned in my full review, I am not a fan of the trigger. It’s not good at all, but a simple Apex drop would solve that and heck who knows maybe you would be fine with the trigger as everyone is different.
I have the 2.0 10mm, and I'm not a huge fan of their new triggers either. I think people are just fawning over it because the break is so much lighter than their old triggers, and they got rid of the pivot mechanism. The break is nice. But it's bookended by a Long Squishy Take-Up, and a virtually Unnoticeable Reset. It feels very similar to my Sig P320 X-Compact.
@@Precocktrigger I have all the above lol. I can’t make my mind up whose trigger is better??? Walther or Canik? I think they are the same tbh. I just don’t know who copied who (Canik).😂 The best trigger I’ve used personally is on the Legion P226. That thing is butter man. I have about 7k rounds thru it so it is well broke in.
