Great comparison between the two! The PRO Stealth is definitely one of those short ride or criterium type saddles, rigid and light even with the steel railed version. I just wanted to add for those who are just seeing this video in 2021, that you should place the PRO Stealth further back than your usual set up, maybe a centimeter or so. It will improve comfort and pedalling performance as it is made to be sat on towards the middle and not on the widest point like most saddles.
Ihsan Ariffin no I didn't, I normally measure the distance between hood where my hand hold to the widest part of the saddle. Because I know my measurement so it will feel almost the same no matter if it's a short or long nose saddle. Hopefully it makes sense.
Personally I found it a overall comfortable saddle, nose is Not too wide and short enough not in the way when you are in the drop position. $$ wise very competitive
Samuel Lambert good question Samuel, personally S-works is better, having the shorter and narrower nose, makes it easier to get into more aggressive position.
thedropcycling but it looks so tiny, id be scared to fall of. im in an agressive track position all the time but i go on the rivet to turn a massive gear and make space for my entire upper legs to move. That means that i never sit straight on the sitbones but more on the soft tissue and supporting weight with my shoulders. Im desperately in need of a cut out saddle. I also consider the ISM adamo and the Prologo dimension
I heard some good things about the ISM adamo, there are ppl using them on road bikes too. I guess this really comes down to a personal preference and the best bet is to try them.
had the s works and it really didn't work for me. the pro, seems top be great when in an agressive position and the nose is definitely more supportive. i'd go with the pro every time.
Uf, I really want to change the saddle of my bike , and I have doubts between these two saddles, and after watching this video I still have the same doubts , first of all my weight, 78 kgs, another doubt which width to choose 142 or 152, I'm not sure I want to think that maybe 152 should be better for me but what if I, m wrong?
Hey mate, if you can go to a shop they should have a device to measure your sit bone width, cos covid I don't know where you from or what the restriction situtaion is, you can measure it at home, you can find some videos on youtube to show you how. Then you know which one to choose from whether 143 or 155.
1. Can you expound further why the s-works is more comfortable on long rides? How does its flexibility affect comfort? 2. In terms of protecting the perineum area, which one is better? Thanks.
This seems like an obvious answer. The flex in the S-works power saddle makes it a more forgiving seat by absorbing energy that would normally transfer into your butt bones, technically speaking- that is.
@@tonexv that's the beauty behind carbon: you can design it in such a way where you control the areas of flex. I just discovered this company that actually applies this methodology into their saddles. They're called SQlab. Check 'em out.
