It's funny how I left Brazil when I was 10, I haven't been around Brazilians for over a decade and I feel like I fit in for the most part. The only difference is the touching thing when I don't know someone, but when I'm with them, it's definitely how described in the video.
I am so freaking excited to keep studying Portuguese and get my butt down to Brazil but I don't know where to visit first. And also how is it dating/public affection/general sexuality as a gay guy in Brazil?
In São Paulo the Gay dating and affection in the streets are super common, specially in the main turistic places, is almost overwhelming haha, like, Brazilians show more public affection in general, and a lot of gay guys do even more to show proudly theirs affection.. There's still some homofobic people that will not like, but they don't do anything about, at most keep looking and disapproving, but they are the minority, the majority have no problem.. São Paulo have the biggest Pride parade in the world, the city is really diverse and inclusive, a lot of things and parties for the LGBT community too..
Florianópolis is also an amazing city for the queer community! People are very chill and open minded. It's a must visit in Brazil for everybody! We call it "Island of Magic" ❤️
I would suggest the city of São Paulo, 'cause it's a cosmopolitan, diverse, multicultural and multiracial city. Also, it has the largest LGBTQIA+ parade in the world (5+ million people). According to the Grindr app, it's the best parade in the world. You will see a lot of LGBT couples in the streets of São Paulo. It's considered the best city for LGBT people in Latin America and the 35th in the world. The city also houses the Museum of Sexual Diversity, the first in Latin America related to the LGBT theme.
Young people today date for lost and sex! They don't date to find a woman for a man too have a serious relationship and commitment with... My generation 30 years ago you would take out a woman and sure you were interested in sex but you were trying to find the right woman to have a commitment with you weren't just trying to sleep around with as many women as possible and when you went out on a date you treated the woman really special you fix a really special location to entertain her you show her a good time.
if these girls say that they prefer foreigners because of the white skin and blue eyes it's because they never came to south, i live in rio grande do sul, and here almosr every boy and girl have white skin and blue eyes and that's because we have a lot of parents that are from german, italy and europe in general, almost all of the south culture in brazil comes from europe. but we have all the stuff that only brazilian people have, so we are basically brazilian with european appearance, and in the north people have the same stuff that we have, but they look completly different and they culture are completly different, because brazil is as big as a continent

Here in Brazil, we value a lot when a person is funny, outgoing and lively. In general, whenever we see a person like that, we automatically think he is Brazilian. Hahahaha

I experienced the kissing culture in Brasil and it freaked me out lol!!! A guy I met at a party professed his love and leaned in for a kiss after 2 minutes of dancing....I went into matrix mode!
Not all Brazilian men act this way. There's a lot of educated men around here who like to talk before trying anything else. This guy who danced with you was probably drunk.

It might be a personal preference of hers, but saying that every Brazilian woman will throw themselves at white men with blue eyes sounds a bit weird to me. Brazil is extremely diverse and people with caucasian features are not a novelty.

Não tem problema nenhum se você particularmente, ou a maioria das pessoas que você conhece preferem homens com olhos azuis. Mas como eu disse, é só uma preferência. Eu só quis comentar que acho levemente problemático afirmar que "toda mulher brasileira é apaixonada por homens brancos de olhos azuis" porque legitima o comportamento de certos gringos babacas (alguns brasileiros também) que acham que podem tratar as brasileiras como objetos só porque são caucasianos. I am European (south) living in Canada...traveled to Brasil and like people and their expression and sincerity a lot! I never adjusted to Canadian way of life especially in social relations terms. I am teaching my kids (who are born here in Canada) about different cultures and values as they might move around the world once they get older. Brasil and brasilians are in my hearth forever!

I'm brazilian and I can confirm this. It's casual in a sense. As a men I'll get my hair and beard trimmered, gave myself THE bath and use a good perfum. But I'm not dressed like I'm going to the evening of my life. Just use nice clothes and go to a bar with a nice band playing, something good to drink and then talking, flirtting...that's the social norm in most cases. From our perspective let things more informal helps to build intimacy...and that's why we do that way...
Me, as a gay guy, disagree with the girl who said we LOVE white men with blue eyes. I feel like, in general, the standard of beauty in Brazil, for men, is: tanned skin, bearded and muscular men. That's the "perfect man type".

I am a Hispanic South American, not Brazilian, and as soon I heard the girl on the right was from Curitiba, I foresaw how she was going to react for the simple reason that, being from Paraná, she's probably of Italian or German descent (and maybe both). I would even dare say she's got German ancestors.
What is the point of choosing brazilians to talk about other brazilians? That's a no brain gain. It's good to see things by the eyes of other cultures.

I do believe Brazilian woman are some of the most beautiful woman in the world, hands down! --- I wish North America shared more of Brazils outgoing, close and connected culture. I was under the impression that Brazil is roughly around 50% white. It would be nice to hear some other perspectives...but perhaps these are the only people you found. Maybe they are mixed, who knows? Coming from my Canadian perspective, I find that somewhat odd. Interesting video though.
Brasilians are mixed,very mixed I just did a dna ancestral test 😂, but there are places were the black heritage are stronger like bahia, google some video of any gringo in bahia our são paulo, South of brasil is a more withe community,in my state there are some German and Italian community keeping the traditions
I went to Brazil a few months ago and you would be amazed the amount of stares you get when you start speaking English out loud 😂 I’ve travelled to different parts of Brazil and I don’t think you can really generalise what preferences Brazilian women have. I’ve been told some like white blue eyed men and some like ‘morena’ brown eyed men etc. it’s all individual preference
People that don't know English look coz its diferent, people that know are probably trying to undestat and discover if the stud was good enough to understand.😂
The Brazilians I dated were not intense, I wanted more hugs, cuddles and touching. I received more intensity, passion and attention from my German fiancé and more PDA and romance from my Korean lover. 🙂

I had an American classmate that was considered dangerous because he said a cute thing in French to a stranger! I thought it was romantic but all the other girls got scared of him. He got a terrible reputation after that. But... my ex-husband was Brazilian too.
Guess you weren't lucky...Once a lady from Germany that I used to date (it was some PRETTY WILD dates LOL) asked me to go live (and marry) with her in Germany (she even said I wouldn't have to work...she would provide for both of us LOL). But I rejected because I have a good job here (one that secures you for life) and it was a crazy idea.

The lady on pink and winding/curly hair said brazilian men has at least 3 women, MEANWHILE BRAZILIAN WOMEN have at least 10 contatinhos (little contacts). That is not what I heard from my partner especially in relationships where the majority of men are control freaks and abusive. She even said they still treat women as objects. Why would she say that if it isn't true, out of curiosity.
