Been there as a guest with the official opening. The then warden at Mooiplaas Kobus Botha was mauled by a lion just below the restaurant when it was built. Luckily he recovered well.

Mopani, IMO one of the best camps in Kruger. The last classic Kruger style camp to be built. Wildlife can be scarce, but plenty of elephants, also rare roan antelope. Camp used to be called Pionier when it opened. Mopani sounds better.
