Thanks for watching - comments are welcome. Have you hiked these trails? This is the 1st of 19 Episodes in Season One following the Bruce Trail from Niagara to Collingwood - 450 km - and that's only half way...hope you enjoy the series.

Wow, What a show you making into RU-vid, Good for you! I was thinking about Bruce Trail all the time: Last time I went Kelso near Milton, in 1970 then went again in 1984 then got Guidebook 1983 ( 14th Edition) then went to Collingwood to Wiarton for 6 years. Now I'm retired for 2 years since I have been Truck driving for 14 years! Now I'm starting to watch you today in Day 1 until end! . Thank you very much!👏👍🤟❤

The Bruce Trail is sort of a tour of Conservation Areas of Southern Ontario - it's a great experience and the Bruce Peninsula is mind blowing - at the very least hike that section! I checked out your channel and subscribed - looks like some great content I will watch - ✌

I like simple too. Uncomplicated. Don't muddle the sounds of nature with senseless music. 😊😊😊😊
@stevewelchontario

Simple is good but I have to get my music out there ha ha. Thanks for the feedback though! ✌️

@@stevewelchontario problem is, the types of music only appeals to a certain audience while no music in nature appeals to almost everyone. Would you want 30 percent subscribers or 80 percent?
@stevewelchontario
@stevewelchontario Год назад
I’m not too concerned about appealing to everyone - it would be very difficult to make these videos with just the sounds of nature with so many clips edited together. I know only some people will like my music and I’m good with that. Thanks for the comments though!

Did you do this alone?
@stevewelchontario
@stevewelchontario Год назад
I hiked the first 200km or so mostly alone but after that with a friend or two. We hiked the trail in sections so we needed two cars to set up the days hike, usually 25 km days with a car waiting at the other end. ✌️

Hey man cool video. Im planning to hike the bruce this may. Anything to know about hiking that time of year? What date did you start the hike? ANy issues with mud or cold?
@stevewelchontario
@stevewelchontario 2 года назад
Thanks for checking the videos out - I think May would be a great month to hike - Episodes 10-13 cover a 4 day hike we did through Caledon Hills section on May 24 weekend if you want to check out the conditions. It was great weather and no bugs. Of course it could be muddy if it rains but it's warm enough then you can just walk through the mud. We started hiking in March but were lucky with weather then as well and got some warm days. I am hiking the trail in sections and have been super lucky - no issues with cold - although my friend camped out in March and had a couple of cold nights. Really the summer heat has been the only issue and for that you just need lots of water but I bring a water filter and there are places to get water in most sections. Have great hike- 👍

No introduction, no details about what is being walked through in 1st Ep but only music to hear. It would have been much more informative and interesting for the viewers to watch it.

The series (and movie) are more of a musical journey and a celebration of the land than instructional - it was also my first hiking series so it took me a while to get comfortable talking - glad you checked it out though and thanks for the comment. There's lots of Bruce Trail stuff out there - my films are a little different! Thanks
