[S1 - Eps. 80] FIRST RIDE in Kyrgyzstan 

I commented on another video that because of you as a sixty four years old female I would get my license in Canada. Well I took the test and weeks course. Now I have lots of awesome new friends and my first bike!! Thank you so much.

Noraly, I am so impressed with your sense of adventure, but what I LOVE is your kindness. You are as kind to the yak and the cows as you are to your hosts, the children, other travelers and older men in bicycles. How well you represent Holland and the west, Madam Ambassador!

I'm about to begin a 120 day journey, where I'll be riding many of the same roads that you've ridden. As I watch your videos, I find that I love how your mood is always positive, and you're always smiling. I know how hard it can be to deal with the mud, the cold, the remoteness, and many other factors, but you handle them all with dignity, a smile, and with a warm and welcoming way. Well done, keep it up.

So we know who rules the roads in Kyrgyzstan -- the animals! Glad to see the herders are confident drivers give them space. Osh looks rather modern.

Horsemanship is valued among the Kyrgyz. Children learned to ride sometimes even before they could walk, and lots of time was spent developing both horse and rider. There are even unique proverbs in Kyrgyz, like “a horse is a man’s wings”, and “govern your horse carefully, or you will become a pedestrian”. May go for your motorbike too. lol

I started watching your adventure two weeks ago and now I have caught up! What a wonderful but arduous trip! I have a suggestion for the Nobel Peace Prize committee....award Noraly the Nobel Peace prize because you are doing more for understanding and acceptance between the people of the East and West. When we hear in the media the reports describing some of these countries we form opinions that are just not true. You show us the face of the common individuals who have the same everyday concerns, worries and joy the world over, regardless of culture, religion, or race! Bon voyage Noraly et bon chance! :- )

I am watching your Videos from Vancouver Canada, I am originally Iranian and started watching you from the time you were in Iran, Now I am addicted to it and checking a few times a day for your next one, I watched all your previous videos too to see full story, Great to see that you are happy and healthy and thanks to share all the beautiful scenes and your inspiration with us, I really envy you to feel the environment, challenges and successes, Good Luck, You have 84000 people watching and praying for you.

Here in the USA there are numerous secondary and tertiary roads known as Farm to Market or Ranch to Market roads. Goods are transported by trucks pulling trailers/road wagons. It appears that there the roadways are used to herd animals to and from ranges, grazing and markets. Drive safe, be safe, and share joy!

As a young guy I rode as far as the Turkey/Iran border on a trials bike - watching your videos make me wish i'd kept riding and thanks for sharing this great adventure with all the amazing people you met.

After the last few days of tough roads this must have been a very enjoyable ride. Having been frozen to the bone here in Australia and around the world on a motorcycle you have my utmost respect. Love your enthusiasm, it's infectious.

Never in my life did I imagine I would see footage of a Kyrgyzstan outhouse! After backpacking for twenty yrs I’ve learned not to take hot water, ice cubes, and flush toilets for granted. Traveling in these remote areas really makes you appreciative of the most basic “luxuries” that most in the US and Western Europe have never had to do without. Thank you so much for including these little details in your videos...I’m sure it is an eye opener for many who watch!

I like your videos, My brother and I did two unforgettable trips riding our own motorbikes from Canary Islands to Spain, Portugal and France. Don't let any comments get you down from those that don't understand what it takes to travel as you do and to take the time to keep the public informed with the videos. Having toured the USA and Norway, Sweden and Finland I know the time and expense it takes to not just take care of yourself but to keep your followers informed. Once I found your videos I started at the beginning and binge watched until I caught up to current video. The scenery is beautiful. High altitude is just bare and snow, as you go lower altitude everything is green and colorful. What incredible contrast.

This part of Noraly’s journey reminds me of my ride in a blizzard on my Honda C90 with no winter clothing. I was going to a school reunion, a 40 mile round trip, only to find it was cancelled due to the weather! That was 55 years ago and I’m still thawing out. 😂
