This one is a very special video for me, let me know what you think and if you would like to visit Uzbekistan as well. Thank you for following my journey :) 📌elinabakunova.com/ - you can check out my projects here!
Great video, as always since you were born with a natural talent and instinct to do this work. You make Uzbekistan and everywhere else look like wonderful destinations. Family pictures are always interesting to see resemblances and differences among family members, and how they change over time. My daughter-in-law is part Puerto Rican and looks like an "average" American. Her older sister looks very Hispanic with very dark skin and totally jet black hair. Her younger brother looks like an Irish leprechaun with pale white skin and bright red hair.
Hi Eli, this is my first time commenting on your channel, I'm from the USA. As I finished watching, first sorry for the loss of your Dad. By coincidence, today would have been my father's 80th birthday, so it hit me double. I'm only 5 years younger than your Dad and it truly reflects how delicate and fleeting life is. Be safe and enjoy your adventures, live long and happy!
Uzbekistan is magnificent and beautiful, renowned for its majestic architecture. It was also a major center of Islamic civilization and the Golden Age during medieval times. God bless Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 from Somalia 🇸🇴❤
*Qur'an 39:60* “On The Day of Resurrection you shall see those who _LIED_ against Allah with their faces turned *black.* Is Hell not vast enough to provide a room to the vainglorious?” *Qur'an 3:106:* “On The Day, some faces will turn _white,_ some faces will turn *black.* Those whose faces turn black, Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you rejected." *Sahih Muslim 30:5777* “Did you see Allah's Messenger (May Peace Be Upon Him)? He said: ‘Yes, he had a WHITE _handsome_ face.’” *Sahih Muslim 5:2334* “The Messenger of Allah (May Peace Be Upon Him) says: ''The most hateful among the creation of Allah is one Black man among them.” *Ishaq 450* "We brought them to the pit. Hell was their meeting place. We collected them there, Black slaves, men of no descent.” *Ishaq 243* "The Apostle (Peace Be Upon Him) says: “Whoever wants to see Satan look at _Nabtal_ (a Black man)" *Mishkat al-Masabih 119 book 1 hadith 112* "The Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said: ‘Allah created Adam when he created him. Then He stroke his right shoulder and took out a White race as if they were seeds, and He stroke his left shoulder and took out a Black race as if they were coals. Then He said to those who were in his right side: Towards Paradise and I don't care. He said to those who were on his left shoulder: Towards Hell and I don't care.’"
I'm a very cynical 61 year old male and I don't shed too many tears anymore but twice during this vid my eyes moistened and then at the end I had to hold back the waterworks. Thank you Eli, you're always so insightful as well as so entertaining.
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why deception and violence are everywhere. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)
Elina Bakunova well done, I am all in tears. Your dad is a very proud of you watching you from the sky.Greetings from Serbia , you are one very brave girl
And it was to scale too ! - If you look closely at Scotland, you cannot see my house but you can see the abundance of rain. The parks and potholes get ever bigger.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating. It's a treat waking up to a video from Eli to enjoy while having my morning tea or coffee. Can't possibly have a better start to a Saturday.
My grand grand father was serving in Bukhara approximately hundred years ago where he was riding a horse of Emir. I would like to visit Uzbekistan one day to feel the beauty of this culture. Thank you, Eli!
I wish i was as lucky as you are. I am Persian my dream is to visit those cities. I can read all those old scripts. One of our oldest Persian poem is about Bokhara and Samarkand. @Eli, i thought i saw your dad in one of the military parade in your hometown, Perm. Was he your dad?
Sweet content. Great video skills with superb narration and music. Wonderful to introduce your Dad. I too was born in 1958… and now 66 years young. Life is a blink of the eye.
People of Central Asia are kind and hospitable. During ww2 many bony and ill Russian children from the seige of Leningrad were sent to Uzbekistan. Uzbeks took them to their houses , though they were starving themselves, almost none were at asylums.
Your childhood pictures with your dad are adorable and is how i imagine a father to daughter love is. It got me emotional. I lost my mother in 2022 also and she loved me the most.
Really good photography and composition - we really appreciate your efforts, Eli. . . Заиста добра фотографија и композиција - заиста ценимо ваш труд, Ели.
The mural decorations are amazing and very beautiful. Thanks Eli for showing the local traditional cultures of Soviet times. Your hiking trip through the mountainous scenery is epic. Your dad watches proudly your good works from heaven.😊
My mama is Russian at heart but was born in Uzbekistan, she loved it so much, always has such good words about her life there. I’d love to visit one day.
It's always a delight to see the world through your eyes Elina! These places are beautiful and the people very hospitable and friendly. Thank you for the gift of your adventures through your channel.
Your channel is amazing, Eli. Thank you for all the places you show us. The young boy who speaks 4 languages at 10 is very commendable. Best wishes to him.
Sorry for your loss eli. This is the first time I'm commenting on your videos. I've been watching you from last 1 month and really love the way you share the story of the part of this world which used to seem very unknown to me. You have really gave me the real perspective of how actually russian and it's old partners looks like. All the lovesand best wishes for your upcoming videos. As we say in India love you eli didi (elder sister) ❤
Thanks Eli its like i myself travelling to this majestic beautiful coutry . With rich histroy and ashes of time . Like you are passing from different era!!
I love the beautiful blue dress you wore. You are so brave to travel alone as u do. I was surprised to hear life both during and after Soviet Union was good.

Привет Эли, Your videos are always so great to watch. Thank you for sharing your world. You are one of the reasons I want to learn Russian. I want to visit and would love to be able to speak the home language. Lastly, this was a great way to honor and connect to your father. Большое спасибо
I have been watching your videos for a couple of months now. Awesome content ! In addition to all the good things that many have mentioned, you also have a terrific and esoteric taste in music in all of your videos. I would request you to add the title and artiste of the music in the videos, if possible. Greetings from Wisconsin, USA !
One of your most beautiful videos and that´s saying a lot! And a very personal one, too. I have been to Usbekistan some years ago in an organized tour. But what you are showing is even more beautiful than I remember. Thank you for the warmth with which you communicate with people. God bless you!
One Of my favorite country is Uzbekistan. Uzbeks Hospitality is something Special. I got a chance to eat pilaf in Samarqand , Bukhara and Tashkent. I must say that samarqand pilaf is clear winner for me. As Usual your videos are wonderful to watch. This video with understandable emotion. May your dad Rest in Peace.
What an interesting video, as usual. You are right, we should ask our parents and elders about the past, because our journey can reach its final destination quicker than we can imagine. But your father lives on through your travels and your eyes, he's with you wherever you are!
Another fantastic vlog as always stunning views but also meeting the locals That was interesting the lady who happy under the USSR and independent country; happiness is a state of mind and based on being with those who love her life view was lovely
I am sure your Dad would be please with this dedication. You have crafted a lovely video. Thank you for bringing the land of the ancient silk road to us.
Your videos are such a gift to me. This is my third one. I’m a 74 year old USA male and I so wish I could see the places you film first hand. Second to love, travel is the greatest gift in the world.
Truly breathtaking views from the summit of the mountain! Fascinating, very thoughtful video, for sure your father was, and would be today, so proud of you!🙏
Hello Eli, so very sorry for your loss. But, he gave all of us a gift. Through you, we have seen learned about so many amazing places that we would've never seen or even heard of. Keep up the wonderful journey you are on and you are making him very prouod. Thank you. With love from USA and Pakistan.
Yet again a wonderful video and a hommage at Eli's dad. He must have been so proud of his most amazing daughter, the most impressive woman in the world. Thank you Eli for letting us be a part of your newest adventure.
Hi from Uzbekistan! I am very much grateful by the way you visited my country and appreciated it as your father did.I'm really sorry for your dad passing away. May god bless his soul. Also pls do not forget to visit my hometown Bukhara where lots of great people were born like Avicenna and Imam al Bukhari . I have one question to ask from you: was your dad uzbek too because he looks like uzbek people.I loved your video pls come visit our country it is very beautiful next time visit every region since then good luck!
Great video. I am a Filipino Canadian citizen. I worked on a project in Uzbekistan for 2 and a half months (November 2010 to January 2011). Beautiful country and very hospitable people. If given the chance, I would like to go back there for a visit. Although I spent most of my time in Tashkent (where our office was located), I was able to visit Samarkand for a few days. Beautiful historical city. Your story about your father is very touching.
