@@WhiskeynRum I didn’t think it was that far of a drive from Sosua to LT with a quick glance on map. I can’t believe is shows only about 1/2 hour less than if you were traveling from Punta Cana airport. Which airport would you use if heading to Las Terrenas?, Punta Cana seems to be a lot cheaper…Santo Domingo?
Dude you are great, no filter, great video, is it possible to retire in the DR all in for $1,500/$2,000 a month??? I don’t see it happening in Florida or any other US city… Thanks for the videos…
I started to watch you videos yesterday and I noticed that you visited Las Terrenas. As I continue to watch, I saw myself in the video by the stopping plaza lmao....lol We went there for 1 weekend, 8 months later we are still here.
Hey Danny, Sak Pase? Your vids are awesome because you don't seem like you are making a video, but rather just being yourself and the video camera came along for the ride. Don't feel bad about the rude racist business owners (I've seen the pro version), my wife and I get it all the time in southeast Florida, where we live. Some people are just miserable inside and it shows on the outside too. We can't wait to visit Malibu's one day. Take care.
Hi, I just noticed your cool channel. I will definitely keep up with your interesting videos. I lived in Punta Bonita for 10 years. Las Terrenas is a great town, but everything is getting very expensive, and decided to sell and move to a bigger location on the hills of Las Terrenas. Currently, I have not built the house I always wanted, but the plans are in place to get the five permits required for such construction. I wanted to ask you about your decision to keep your boat in the PR rather than the DR? I am planning on bringing my 40ft blue water cruiser to the DR, but I am having second thoughts due to the import duties taxes for this boat. Also, have you ever considered the Marina in Samana?
@@WhiskeynRum woww super nice. Thanks' love your bar. Was there one day but you were out that day. Hopefully next time or let me.know if you ever get to the capital.
Tomorrow I go to Las Terrenas I was 1 year ago in Bahia Principe. The lemongrass, will make videos for my Channel Glauco Samboy Total Support Subscription, Greetings from Sto.Dgo. Dominican Republic. The most beautiful country in the world
Couldn’t agree more with you! A little bit of urban planning can cement the DR as the definitive destination of the Caribbean. This is why I get so mad sometimes with our governments, I feel we have wasted almost 15 years of tourism development. With just a bit of thought into our touristic poles, we could have so much more enjoyable destinations, and instead of having 3-4 referent destinations, we’d have already maybe 7 or 8.
We can always go visit places like this ... but I hope they leave Sosua the way it is ... I know, I know, it's a matter of time, change is coming. It's already changed so much in the last 15 years, losing the beach bars and vibe on the beach will be a lot to get used to, but like everything else, I'll adapt. 😆
I feel ya. Sosua is going to change but not in the way they think. The invasion of US, Canadian, European expats here is solidifying the late night scene. Copa Cabana is packed at 3am most nights with gringos LOL.
Hey Danny I want to come down but I can't take those covid tests where they shove that swab deep into your nose. Do you know have they switched to "shallow swabbing" there in the DR yet? Because I think I need a covid test to return to the US. Many thanks, lovin' the vids! They keep me pumped up about coming to visit DR.
Hey Mike, the testing facilities are still doing the original tests. That said, I've yet to have that thing jammed into my brain here like they do in the States. Let's just say they are much more gentle and leave it at that.
Great content once again Danny, beautiful area! I'll be down your way in 2 weeks, of course Malibu's will be my 1st stop. Might even take a detour to check out this area myself.
Isn't Las Terrenas the best!!! We have been visiting there every winter for the past 5 years now. We love it and will be spending 3 months a year there soon. I would live there but can't get hubby on the same page. Thanks for sharing your great video. Can't wait to get back there!!!
there are several locations all over town. I use the one in the small plaza next to Banco Popular. 7am to 4pm Mon-Friday; Saturday I believe is 8am to 2pm & Sunday 8am to Noon. And for traveling back if you want to take the chance, you can get it done at the airport. All are 2000 pesos. I always get it the day before in case I luck up & have to extend my trip...LOL
Perfect answer. I would also add that I only use the facility at the airport and I have never missed a flight. Just get there a little bit earlier than normal - add 45 minutes to be safe.
Love your channel! I’ve been to Sousa many times, thank you for bringing it into my living room 😊… hoping to make it back there this winter, I will definitely be stopping at Malibu‘s 🍺…looking forward to your videos from Las Terrenas as well, never been there but it sure looks beautiful, keep up the good work and thanks again 😎
