Fantastic 2 part guide, so much detail. How do you find playing Gwen with an Asol mid? My duo plays asol and i thought both late game scaling = gg if you survive early game. If ap support or top I'd play someone AD
Love the video, although I gotta say my experience with master yi and nocturne are kinda flipped compared to your list. I find yi to be a pretty skill reliant matchup, if you an snip him when he exits his alpha you win, but if you dont time it you always lose. Nocturne I find very difficult just because of his fear. You can w his fear but his fear has a shorter cd than your w, and if he lands the fear he wins the fight no matter what. The Lillia matchup also always hurts, thats why I picked up brand as well. If they steal my lillia I cant just pick gwen I usually just get curb stomped :(
I feel like he's Gwen's hardest counter but maybe I'm just a worse player than the Millionaire Master Yi on the enemy team xd I'm not good at predicting where he'll land. Nocturne I find is Gwen's easiest matchup because you can buffer Q during his fear, he also is pretty weak late game whereas Gwen excels. Once you get enough AP and if the Nocturne isn't ahead, you can face tank his combo. Oof, yeah, I always thought Lillia was easy peasy into Gwen but into a good Lillia's hands, Lillia just hits her powerspikes faster because of how fast her clear is and her tempo is quicker too with her prance stacks. Might pick up Kindred to deal with the deer now that the doll can't deal with Bambi anymore :( Gwen does outscale her lvl 16 and with rabadons though!
