Summary ✎𓂃
On May 31, Momoko gave birth to a baby girl, and on the following day, June 1, Momoko seemed to have appeared with her baby at the exhibit. This episode was taken on June 2, the following day, when I came to the zoo, hoping to see the baby and the troop. However, Momoko and the baby were nowhere to be seen that day. I was thinking they could be resting at the off-exhibit because Momoko was probably exhausted from delivery. At that time, Momoko's severe anemia was not announced to the public.
This episode is a continuation from the previous episode. Due to the absence of Momoko and the baby, Haoko was constantly checking Toto and the gate to the off-exhibit where he believed Momoko and the baby stayed. When Haoko bit Toto, Riki bravely stood againstt his dad. Komomo was also sensing the strained atmosphere of her family. It is not a happy episode, but you will see a number of rare behaviors exhibited by the troop. The viewer discretion is kindly advised.

モモコは5月31日朝無事にメスの赤ちゃんを出産し、翌日6月1日には赤ちゃんと一緒に放飼場に出ていたようです。本エピソードは前回動画のつづきで、6月2日に撮影しました。モモコと赤ちゃんの姿を見ようと勇足で来ましが、どこにも姿がなかったので、きっとモモコは産後の疲労で室内で赤ちゃんと安静にしているのだろうと考えていました。この時はまだモモコが重度の貧血であることは公表されていません。
モモコと赤ちゃんの姿がないため、ハオコは室内に続く扉やトトのことを確認するため往復していました。ハオコがトトを噛んだ際、リキが果敢にハオコを追いかけます。コモモも群れに漂う緊張感を敏感に感じている様子です。
園によると現在モモコは回復に向かっており、赤ちゃんは順調に育っているようです。モモコと赤ちゃんの最新情報は、園の公式サイト及びツイッターから確認できます。また、このチャンネルのコミュニティタブからも最新情報を共有しています。

Haoko pursues Toto. Toto tries her best to avoid him. The other stay close to Toto to protect her from the advances of Haoko, but in the end little Riki (who loves Toto very much) will come to her defense. Riki stay close to Toto.

This was such a stressed out difficult time for them all.Lil warrior Riki came to Toto's defense.Gosh, I love that precious guy.I sometimes wonder about the few gorillas like Toto, Nene in Japan and Biddy from Twycross in the UK who were brought from the jungles at an early age.I would love a video of them and their journeys to captivity.Their stories of adaptation are truly worthy of a spotlight.Hope 1 day someone will investigate them.Thx Karin.your videos are always so detailed& informative.🧡🦍🧡😉🍑

I LOVE Grandma Biddy from the Tycross Zoo. She is my favorite gorilla of all the Zoos on RU-vid. I like the silverbacks…they are magnificent but Grandma Biddy is awesome and she helps look after and care for the babies too. She’s very special.

You could almost cut the tension with a knife, especially between Toto and Haoko. She did NOT want him around her and stayed close to Komomo for a sense of safety. Yes, brave 4 yr old Riki did his best to protect Toto. Riki is going to be a fine alpha silverback someday. Hopefully Japan can somehow figure out how to bring in more females for matching and mating. Poor Haoko, when is his nightmare going to end. Great footage Karin.

Brave Riki and not the first time he's done it, he charged in to save Komomo when he was only two. She had to throw him on her back and carry him away to safety.

Excellent presentation of the footage you captured Karin. All of the troop members seemed to sense Haoko distressed mood huddling together and getting out of his way. I felt that wise Toto especially knew that real trouble was brewing and she tried her best to get away from Haoko multiple times. Toto actually sitting with Kokomo was beautiful to see as that’s a sight we don’t often get to observe. I‘ve been following this troop for a long time and I can’t recall ever seeing sweet Toto bare her teeth let alone chase Haoko like that. Kudos to brave Riki for defending Toto. It showed once again the love and respect he has for her. This troop is extraordinary and my 🙏 is they’ll all be reunited soon. ❤️🦍

It must of been tiring for Toto to constantly try to avoid Haoko. In the end she just submitted. Riki was not going to let dad get away from hurting his sweetheart tho!🥲

Poor sweet Toto! Haoko took out her anger and frustration on her but our brave Riki tried to defend her. it is very hard to see these scenes between them. you are lucky Karin to be able to be there and capture these moments. thanks for sharing with us.

Haoko was stressed because Momoko was away. Of course, he couldn't understand that it was only temporary and so he went after Toto. He didn't want to lose another female. Poor Toto and poor Haoko! Riki was brave! He always is!

I could definitely see a tense atmosphere there, it was as if Toto knew something was going to happen! It was amazing to see Riki who is only 4 challenge his father like that, he was brave! I think Haoko is getting really antsy with the current situation of Momoko being gone 😕

@@kells1784 Hello Kells. Yes, you are right. Haoko can watch Momoko 24hrs now, but on that day (2June) the troop could not see her. I think the zoo anesthetized Momoko in order to separate the baby from her.

This is crazy! Like I can rarely watch this family anymore, it's too sad. Goes to show you how important great mom's are human or gorilla alike. They were suppose to release videos of either the newborn baby and/or Momoko but I can't find anything. Like what exactly is wrong with Momoko. To be separated from her family since I think early July and then to hear that even her baby was being hand raised by humans, makes me wonder if she's still alive??? I know a few times i saw feet on the other side of the grill but that could be any other gorilla. Why no pictures, why no videos of her and why can't i find anything in the media, reporting on what's wrong with her? I thought someone said there was video footage of the baby being released soon but I can't find anything. I also read, a week or 2 ago, that they were going to reunited Momoko with her baby first, then both would be reunited with the troop within 4 days but that never happened and still no video footage. Does anybody out there know anything regarding both of them. This has become too sad to watch. They way they are never at peace, always pacing, waiting for her return, so now i'm getting to know gorillas at other zoos. I hope she will be returned soon but for now this is the last video I plan to watch of this troop. I recommend watching the gorillas at the Kyoto Zoo. They have always been my favourite troop and i didn't know until much later that Momoko is actually Momotaro's silverback son that heads that troop. Genki is my favourite gorilla in the world, followed by "Prince" Kintaro, her youngest soon. Yes I call him Prince because he is so loved by each member of the troop and he has the sweetest and kindest heart. Of course, Gentaro his older brother is so entertaining to watch too, he's so smart, and my favourite silverback is Momotaro. So patient with his kids and wife, just love him too! I recommend taking a look at this family too!

そうは言っても、尻の白い小僧にトトは渡さん！😂しかし、彼の勇気と思いやりは認めています。それにしてもこんなに別居が続くとは思いませんでした。別居した２．3日後にモモコが第二運動場に出て来て、下草をむしって食べている姿を見た時は、出産の疲れが取れればすぐに戻れるのかなと思っていたのですが…。

I feel sad for Komomo. She needs a man in her life. lol Have the zoos not thought of Hasani Jr. in California, U.S.A.? Maybe Momoka and Kyosama (Shabani's son)? I think Annie (Shabani's daughter) would be perfect for Gentaro (Momotaro's son) because they were both hand reared at first and their temperements, she could easily take on Gentaro when he's angry. lol Then for my little prince "Kintaro" (Momotaro's son) I think he would be a great match with Angela from California, U.S.A.

Haoko used to do this to Momoko he would chase an bite, but Momoko with baby Komomo on her back would walk right up to him she was fearless think it was a game for them but yeah he’s a biter an a bit aggressive but in this instance it’s the circumstances
