Right before the third honk, I floored it to get a jump on the race so I can record because if I didn’t, they would just blew pass me and I wouldn’t be able to get a video of the whole race.
The video is to show you how close a k24 is to a f22. Incase if you blow your f motor. You can always replace it with a k motor for a lot cheaper than a f series. If you don’t like the video. Don’t watch it.

Thank you. I swear people be ungrateful af. I had to block a good amount of People on here posting stupid comments. If you don’t like the video. Don’t watch it. Plain and simple. I just posted the video up so people can see how close a k24 and a f22 is. So if people were to blow their f motor. They can replace with a k24 for the fraction of the cost of the f series. I swear you can’t fix stupid.

Notice how the k24 had more torque to get ahead at first but the f22 reeled him in at the end. K24 usually have more torque but the f22 has a lil better top end power due to better head flow.

Most people do the k series swap when they've blown up there F series. Especially now the prices for a good condition F series motor you could buy two or three K series.

Any F series before the F20C is not nearly the same type of engine. The F20C does not share the lineage.

I'm slowly turning mine into a track only car and am planning on doing a kswap. The biggest appeal is once it blows then it's only 900 bucks for another long block vs 3-4k for another F long block.

Yea, the initial cost to swap a K is expensive, but afterwards, it's fairly cheap to replace parts compared to the F22C. And on the plus side of going K is the aftermarket is huge and affordable, compared to the F22C. But, to each and their own.

Good oiling system and maintenance and the f20/f22 is more reliable than a K not to mention will hold more boost. I would put an Ls or J series if I wanted more power and torque to steer the chassis. But I like the k too if it’s a high mileage chassis and you already need an engine... k24 all motor especially a 2.7 4p Also very skeptical about the tittle saying the f20c has cams with no tune :/

It’s comparable. The cost for a k24 is a lot cheaper than a f22. Incase if you ever were to lose an engine.

F series is “happier” at high RPMS, but K series has IVTEC, which gives you the low end torque the S2000 desperately needs Also. An untuned S2000 with RDX injectors should be running dangerously rich

Not at all. Monitored the a/f ratio and it’s within limits. The manifold is ported and paired up with a Ktuned throttle body. Along with a custom 3.5 piping intake. There’s plenty of air coming in

@@AzNJohn25 what is the point of running rdx injectors on a stock motor? Even with full bolt ons, it doesn reach that high of duty cycle. Stock provides more than enough fuel for bolt ons.. Unless you are planning for motor upgrades?

@@JonHop1 so a buddy of mine have identical mods 3.5 cai, ballade header and cams. The other applications that were different was his 3inch exhaust and stock throttle body. Fully cut and port manifold. He tuned at evans tuning and his stock injectors are maxed out for duty cycle. I don’t think you seen how big a 3.5 intake and ported manifold is. You’re running extra lean at that point and need more fuel. So they swapped out to rdx injectors and ran just fine. Extra fuel doesn’t hurt.

@@AzNJohn25 I mean, I dont know how that is possible... I have the exact same mods and my stock injectors were no where near 100%... Your injectors must have been clogged up bro.. I also tuned at Evans and Tri-State Motorsports. I am in the Philly area. I was not running lean at all. At 8K rpm I was only running like 80% duty at 235whp and 193wtq on stock injectors.

I want to put my personal input. I recently spun a bearing. The cost of a F22 is crazy! Rebuilding is just as crazy. I’ve been thinking about K24a2 swapping due to finding them being a lot easier and the price a WHOLE lot better.

Personally I think K24 would be more fun for daily with the torque, but the F series engines/motors are exceptionally good! But either way, both engines are good in their own ways.

One is a 2.4 K motor and the other is 2.2 F motor. If you were to blow your stock f motor. It’s estimated $3000-5000 for a f series engine. K24 you can find as low as $800 and swap it in there.

the k24 stock block can handle 700 hp, and you only need to change the piston head, rod, and crack in total that's around 4 grand, then you can make 700 hp reliably. While im not sure about the f22, i dont think it's nearly as good as the k24, since everyone k swaps it, and no one talks about the f22. But if you're going to buy a s2k i think you should've k20 swapped it since the stock platform is so expensive, unless he did it when they were cheap

@@alechall7082 Yeah, you also need to work on tranny since no stock k series tranny can handle that power, you also need a lot of other shit in total its gonna cost around 15k to get 700 hp but its not going to be that reliable, most people run 500 hp fully built, because its much more reliable, but the stock block can handle 700 hp, all you need is forged internals which is around 4k, head, cams, valve springs, a whole new oil system since the stock one pressure is pretty low. In total for all the engine work its going to be 6k without turbo with turbo going to run from 10k to 12k depending on what you want. You would also need to build the tranny, and get new bearings, and small shit like that so that's going to be around 2-3k. 500 horsepower in a car that weighs 2100 pounds for the eg, or 2400 for the ek is pretty damn quick.
