I couldn’t tell if this is a race or hpde. But whoever you’re driving with, I love that they didn’t cone off the triangle btwn pit entry and the front straight. When I first started driving thunderhill (2002) nobody did that but these days almost everyone does.
To me, it appears he’s reaching ~132MPH at the end of the start/finish straight, ~110+ MPH thru turn 8(!), ~120+ MPH into T10, a bit quicker into T14. This is all based off of the speedometer; not sure of the accuracy because i don’t know if there’s any change in wheel diameter compared to stock. Also, knowing gear ratios might give you a bit more accuracy since he does hit the rev limiter on the start of the 2nd lap.
Just had my first track day here, and you’re doing everyone the coach asked me to do. How’d you manage to find that point right before you lose traction, but the cars still sliding? Good run man
This guy has been driving this S for years, you just gotta get that seat time to learn your car to know how it reacts. Sometimes you don’t know when it starts sliding, but it’s just like a sixth sense, you’re ready to counter the oversteer or slide.
I've lapped T-hill thousands of times, and I have neither the skills nor the balls to do it like that. Question: Your steering inputs looked really large to me. Was the car pushing?
