Great season, Isaac, none the less, and I really enjoyed the ride along with you!! Your cameras make is seem like we are right there with you. Have a great summer, and I look forward to seeing you again!!!
Hey - I am friend of Chris Maus's dad down in Montana. If you are liking the ski travel thing over snow shoeing you should really check out "Altai Hok Skis" (with the universal bindings.) These are very short / very wide skis with built in climbing skin on base and a binding that will fit you regular winter boots. MUCH lighter that the set up you are using in video and you can ditch having to wear those stiff heavy ski boots while you are flying. Check them out. Good luck. Kraig.
Good season man! Never seen any buddy flying a trap line before! Remember the Skis for next year.. Remember which sets caught; which didn’t... You will be ready for next year👍B Deacon Manitoba
Great show, enjoyed it totally! Trapper myself and did quite a bit in airplane myself. It's one of the best ways to get into some good country 4 sure if the cards are played right..Good luck with the sales and take care!
Awesome season my buddy. Maybe next season you can use more milk crates or plywood boxes for your traps. hope to see some spring bear hunting and fishing. Great vids.
Beautiful country. Always nice to see the Supercub in action. Are you going to continue showing videos after trapping season. If so, what have you got planned? Always enjoy. Thanks.
Oh boy! I always seem to have so many ideas floating around in my mind but these are probably in the next month or so....lake trout fishing, backcountry skiing, steelhead fishing, spring bear hunting, and going up to Ruth Glacier to check it out.
@@isaaclandecker907 You do a nice job--I always get a little concerned when you go up in the air to those remote areas in the middle of no where--good luck in the future!
I enjoyed following you on your season! I've always thought it would be nice to have trail cameras set over some of them traps. Just to see what happens when a critter gets away. Take care Brother
@@isaaclandecker907 yes it would be interresting, i'm not sure about wolverine but wolves get spooked very easily and I noticed your long flags waiving right over the sets. Lynx can get attracted to stuff like that though. Anyways I believe in putting all the chances on your side while hunting or trapping 👍 Good season next up fishing
Awesome Videos! Didn’t realize you flew for the 176th! Currently enlisted in the 176th but submitting my application for the UTP selection board next month. Got any advice for my application package and or potential interview?
Awesome! My main advice would be try and get to know some of the people in the unit at a drill weekend. It's a great way for everyone to put a face/personality to the application package. Good luck!
Put up a trail camera, this may sound funny but sometimes u can pick up the snow with the pee and that will help u determine the animal . I think the animal got hit on the head and was dazed for awhile
You know what’s funny about that, I was going to put up 3 trail cameras. My friend sent them to me about 2 weeks ago and someone stole the package off my door step.
What an awesome season if you ask me!! Great job, every season I learn many different things and implement what I’ve learned the next season!! Be safe!!! How long do you expect to be in Alaska?
Think your overthinking abit.. Trying to hide traps doesn’t seem to work…. Need sets more in the open. Pails? Think plywood boxes work better… Wolverine your main animal hoping to catch? Too bad you couldn’t set up Bait piles to attract….
