If I was picking my first and only phone, I would def go for S24U. However, as months go by, I am happier and happier with the decision not to update from S23U and skip at least one generation. I would say that this is the smallest generational gap ever.
Same waiting for s25u or may jump to other phone like mate 70 or mi 14u if they were a big upgrade already didnt like mi 14u so i dont think mate 70 will crazy changes either here hoping s25u will be worth it
Very encouraging to see that Samsung has not degraded camera quality in their older flagships. I still love my s22u and s23 u cameras. I am pretty much a Samsung person when it comes to the mobile space. Even my S20u gives me superb shots in daylight conditions... especially like the 4x telephoto and its natural colors. Seeing how samsung supports their old flagships really builds your faith in the brand ... Keep it up Samsung.
It is rumoured that the S25 Ultra will feature some form of variable zoom system. By this I assume a variable optical zoom. This would allow them to drop the 3x lens completely. It is an often stated fact now that the Ultrawide will be getting a new 50Mp sensor. That is pretty definite.
@neilmcguinness4422 Doubt it somehow. Too complex and too heavy to incorporate a meaningful optical zoom lens. All Samsung needs to do is to upgrade the x3 to a quality 50mp arrangement. The Ultrawide sees less use but could also be upgraded as necessary...
@@okeyezeilo6187Compact variable optical zoom lens systems are getting more compact and lightweight all the time, but no mobile manufacturer has yet fitted one with good effect since the Galaxy S4 Zoom. It would smash the opposition out of the park if Samsung equip the S25 Ultra with variable optical zoom from 1x to 10x.
First and foremost: The Galaxy S25 needs a vastly improved ultra wide sensor. The Huawei P30 Pro (2019) still makes the far better close up / macro fotographies than the S23 Ultra.
The s23 ultra cameras have really been degraded after the one ui 6.1 update. I feel bad because of the poor low range quality of the potrait mode in ui 6.1.
for the customers and the company, i think its fair enough to keep some features tor those who bought the new device or those who think about it, and to brought many features including the AI to previous generation, is much appreciated actually, i own s23u and never expected that i will use AI in it , so yes...im satisfied.
Tbh juat like s23 ultra got updates so will s24 U and will get updates for 7 years and not 4-5 years like s23 U, and it isnt just camera i mean now display is way better with gorilla armor, processor is much faster with snapdragon 8 gen 3 and body itself is much durable with titanium also just putting it there it has been confirmed s24 U will get super updates regrading camera in August
Have S23U and 6.1 improved camera quality back to 5.1 standards. Yes, that's not a typo. 6.0 significantly degraded the S23U camera capabilities. 6.1 is a return of that quality specifically with 10X optical zoom. Hardware wins the day over digital zoom. Curious if you shot the in between zooms at 50M which allows for 1x, 2x, 4x, and 6x zoom. Would this make a difference in the mid range or is the 50M for the S23U dependent upon inferior hardware and sensors?
What I didn't have on my S23 Ultra when I sent it for the trade in was the super HDR that is on my S24 Ultra. Super HDR makes pictures lively, makes the sky light up to give better reflection on the things you are taking the pictures of. Did that also come on the S23 Ultra after the One UI 6.1?
Please Compare S23 Ultra pictures before and after UI 6.1 upgrade. Alot of people are complaining about significant downgrade in image quality after this update. Image processing is also adversely affected. Your final verdict will enable me, to upgrade or to not upgrade on UI 6.1. Eagerly waiting for the response. Thank You.
Don't upgrade you will regret , the battery backup degraded as well as camera, pictures look washed out after this update, i am regretting after the update.
I like to take picture of the moon with my S22U on 10x zoom. I can get moon details to show up. How do those compare? I'm debating what new phone to get.
Has anyone noticed any changes in the audio of videos shot on the S23 Ultra after the February update? I have noticed a significant change in the audio, as it is now recording a very flat sound, which was not the case in January month. Please check and confirm if anyone else is facing this issue.
S23 ultra even after being the flagship phone, can't switch lenses in 4k60fps video. I was hoping they would add this in 6.1 but no. I'm just disappointed in Samsung.
Not all, the main lens it's super with 200mp I think they should bring back the 10× with 20mp, 3x with 50mp and ultrawide with 50mp it's will be knockout for all the cameras phone in Mt opinion
Well happy with my first ultra Always been fold 2 flip 3 fold 4 flip 5 then got the s24 ultra love ittttt loads oh plus used to be iphone 15 pro max too
S23u is missing Super HDR (aka Ultra HDR on Google pixels) and high bit rate for 8k video. But Samsung can still implement those features in S23u because it is capable and it doesn't make sense capping a phone just to say the newer model is worth an upgrade... S23u screen is capable of HDR and Samsung just removed the Android 14 SDR dimming feature from One UI 6.1 on s23u - that allows to see ultra/super HDR photos (that Google back implemented on order pixels with Android 14 update for camera and screen). So I will be complaining untill they update my s23u to its hardware capabilities, I think they didn't implement Super HDR on s23u camera because they took out that Android 14 screen HDR feature but don't believe Samsung will continue to remove those features on future updates because it's pathetic seeing a low end Samsung phone coming out with Android 16 and implementing it and keep removing those features on s23u updates for the nexts few years... If they would allow gcam mods to access the 200mp sensor I would stop complaining because we can use gcam mod to take ultra hdr jpg but its limited to 12MP.
To be fair.. I cannot distinguish you pronouncing "s23 ultra" from "s24 ultra" .. I am sure the video is interesting but that accent is too much for a not native English speaker? 😬🥲
I think Samsung has a long way to go for their camera quality to even compete with Google and Apple they overbrighten overexpose their photos by a lot! And it's impossible to take photos of moving children without getting a ghosting effect. I don't know why they're so stubborn on letting go of the overexposure that they have on almost all of their photos.
S23 ultra cameras are definitely worse after the update. I love the phone but this is a big let down as I never had these issues on iPhone. I barely switched and was 100% certain i was staying but if this is a normal thing for samsung its a big let down 😢
A fortnight ago, I made a prudent decision to purchase both the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE at a price comparable to that of the Samsung Galaxy S24. In retrospect, I am pleased with my choice. 👆 AI generated 😂😂😂
I almost never got it right if you said s23u or s24u. Please next time just say s23 or s24. You are just saying it too fast so thumbs down from me sorry
I'm actually returning my s24 ultra because I just think that's 23 ultras way better and there's no difference that I can see. I do a lot of pictures of my kids playing soccer so I have to get far away shots and the s23 blows the s24 out of the water. I don't even see any change in short range pictures or anything I just think it was a waste of a phone and it was a waste of my time.
