S23 vs S23 Ultra After 2 Weeks: What You Need To Know! 

One thing to note going forward is speed really isn't a huge noticeable difference from ufs 3.1 to ufs 4.0 but what needs to be mentioned is the significant boost in battery life you''ll get with a ufs 4.0 equipped phone since its touted to be 46% more power efficient than ufs 3.1. Curious to eventually hear if the 256 s23 outlasts the 128 in certain use cases. Cheers

That's funny you mentioned it, I was gifted an S23U and I was coming from a S10e, that phone is still very good and I still use it at work for my music but the S23U is a very nice upgrade in all aspects.

The last year and a half or so has been the first time I haven't shuffled between phones a whole lot. I absolutely LOVE my S23 Ultra. I can't say enough good things about it. I switched over from a pixel 7 Pro and I honestly don't miss it at all which I thought wouldn't be the case. Maybe some of the phone call and voicemail features but not really. The Bixby alternative has been pretty good. Opening the the Pixel 7 Pro started to drive me nuts and I'm glad to have a Samsung phone back primary for that reason. Among other things of course. Ive enjoyed your content on the smaller S23 because I decided to skip it this year. I kinda miss a smaller phone but I'm glad I got this!!!

Can s23 be able to take as much heat as Ultra without overheating and making you stop recording (or whatver your doing)? I saw a video of someone showing the ultra doesnt over heat even in the sun and the pixel 7 pro def does

I have the S23 Ultra for 3 weeks and 2 days now, i absolutely love it. My only complaint is that the S-Pen is on the left side. I had in the past the Note 9 where the S-Pen was on the right side, i prefer that.

I think you hit the nail on the head here with the Ultra not being a daily driver, I would like those features in a tablet rather than a phone. If I would switch now I would either go S23 Plus or Pixel.

I am looking to get the S23 256GB on the weekend. I had the S22 - awesome phone with half day battery life! So traded that for a 14 Pro. Again a solid device but it bored me in a couple of months. The camera was great but it didn't give any satisfaction as a user. Many won't agree, but I think the iphone is the weakest link in Apple's famed ecosystem. So story short - sold off the 14 Pro and got the 13 mini as I need an apple device to make full use of the wonderful watch ultra. Looking forward to have the small Samsung as the daily driver. I went from s22 ultra to s23 and I love everything about it. I get better battery life, better performance, and is it ever easier to handle with one hand. My favorite is the size of the s23.

I agree with almost everything you said. The S23 is so great, I just wish it was S-pen compatible. I don't think 6.1 is too small. The note series phones didn't get bigger than 6 inches until the note 8! I agree that there's no need to include it in the body of the phone but I'd like to have the option to use the pen if I wanted to.

only one thing what is missing for me in s23 is auto-focus in ultra-wide. Without it macro photography is not possible..Shame is not there.

S23 is still about 4 mm wider than the S10e, though. One of the reasons to get an Xperia, though. It's only 1 mm wider than the S10e but as physically tall as the S23 Ultra, based on what's in GSMArena.

I can find a refurbished s23 ultra for $979. My only fear is that the s23 ultra will be too big to fit in my pockets and I’ll grow sick of the size lol.

The 23 plus is the ultra without a 200 mp camera im going with it. Im pretty sure the s23 has great battery life as well but i want the plus. Cant wait this week ❤❤❤.

Can get 12 to 13hours sot on my 14 pro max , I’m still confused as to why the ultra is now the apparent battery king unless it’s just android people mean , mine was getting between 8 and a half to 9 n half. The ultra just felt too big for me and not like a phone , was like walking around with a roof tile in my pocket , getting it out to take a picture was very uncomfortable

It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it... You will be surprised when you're really gonna need that 100x zoom... Concerts, ball games, or if you're just nosy or a wannabe detective. That zoom camera is fun! Same with the Spen, I don't use it that much but it's there whenever I need a quick notation since I have a faultly memory. I upgraded from the s22ultra because I have issues with the battery life. True enough, the S23ultra has significantly better battery management. If you're contented with tour s22ultra's battery you really don't need to upgrade. The s22ultra is still a Beast of a phone. And even with the 200mp on the s23u the images they produce are almost identical,but the S23ultra has slightly better nightmode and videos. My previous s22ultra has heating issues as well that's why I'd decided to try the s23u. All in all I would say the S23ultra is a nice upgrade if you're looking for better battery life and management.

still not enough for me to change from the s20...12gb ram, gorgeous QHD screen, expandable SD card capability, android 13 and ui 5.1. However it will not get android 14, but I still think the phone will be workable for another 2 years.

On a budget or want a small phone = s23 Want all the bells & whistles and prefer large phones = S23 Ultra Choices create good problems

Samsung phone only worth when it has spen, I use spen a lot. If I don't need spen, I will switch to Iphone or other android brands.

I had to upgrade to the ultra it came in yesterday because the s23+ that I got in in April the camera sucked and Samsung didn't care so I had to upgrade to the ultra and I'm glad the ultra actually has a good camera 😂 I upgraded from the iphone 13 max so I expect a lot and at the price everyone should

I had the One Plus 11 and the S23 Ultra. I chose the OP11 over the S23 Ultra. First the haptics on the OP11 are amazing. The display on the S23 Ultra to me cant compete with the OP11. The OP11 is much sharper, more punchier, and scrolling the text doesnt smear. Also not seen one single stutter where as the S23U I have seen a few. I also prefer new Oxygen OS over UI 5.1 Lastly the cameras. The OP11 photos are more accurate in color then the S23U. What I actually see with my eyes is what the OP 11 produces. The S23U creates brighter photos and causes colors to be off. After using both, the OP11 was the better phone overall

Samsung has taken such a complete dive in quality and “form following function” it is not to be believed. At this point, the government really should be investigating them for bad faith, because the S23 Ultra is an abomination that is non-sensical and complicated regarding basic functions and operational design to the point it truly hinders the operators intended use. I have been with Samung since the first Note series. I traded my S10 + for what I thought was an “upgrade” to the S23 Ultra. It has been a preposterously bad and time wasting step BACKWARDS. I could go on, and on, and on, and on. I simply can’t believe they are allowed to foist this rubbish on the public. I’m now on my 3rd S23 with the same problems. Beware of so-called professional reviewers and websites, even seemingly in-depth ones. They are horrendously misguided and somehow absent in their understanding of the most practical and useful functions of these phones and their demise in engaging them.
